btw, for the time being, ive decided that im going to just get spacers for the front and shackles for the rear... i cant afford a nice lift, and i want to be able to clear 33s... so, ill do what i gotta... later on down the road, ill save up for toytec C/Os...

also, a buddy of mine is gonna help me bob the bed in a few weeks... look towards the writeup...

somewhat yes and no... i think Frodo's rig is pretty damn nice for the budget he has...
so, yes, i am kinda basing my truck off his a little bit... maybe a little more ghettofab/homebrew with things, but itll get there...

and i only wanna run the 33s because i got spoiled with the runner and having the ground clearance... the taco is almost as tall because of the BL, but the ground to dif height is paltry in comparison...

Also, grant, if you look at the pics, ive noticed, that in stock trim, i have the same , if not MORE, flex that Frodo had... i can almost tuck the whole rear tire on a bald 31" with a 2" body lift... if i wanted to achieve what scuba has, id save up every paycheck for 2 months and buy new leaves and front suspension... but i cant...
Sorry SpaceJunk, I really wasn't trying to be insulting, though it came off that way. My buddy has an S10 and he's always talking about needing to replace or go to longer shocks to lift his truck. lol No matter how much I correct him, it doesn't help, so I hear it all the time.

I did notice that you'd stuffed the rear tires just fine, especially considering the body lift.

Spacers, shackles and 33s will look Awsome on the Taco!! I love the Look of Tacos with Larger tires and minimal lift!! Well most trucks, but I do really like Tacomas. I don't know if they'd fit, but I think I have an extra set of 2" shackles layin around. . . If you're interested.

Pretty sure 33's wouldnt fit with just a 2" bl on his tacoma. i think tacos sit alot smaller than pickups and runners. a kid at my school has a 95 taco with coil spacers and 31's and its barely taller than a stock pickup with 31's.

Damn S10 drivers... he needs to get out of the 70s with his air lift shocks!!

no problems, Grant... i was kinda in a bad mood... no harm no foul tho...

Hmmm... Spare shackles, eh?? might have to take you up on that deal...
im just not looking forward to the spacers and the harsher ride...

they WILL fit, but if i wanna run a wider tire down the road, like an 11.5 wide tire, i dont want them to rub when i stuff them... Savvy?

33x10.5 is the exact tire i wanna go with...

no way in heck would i ever run a 12.5 wide tire... i dont even really like 11.5 except for the added traction...

just too wide in my opinion...

troy, you saw my brother's tacoma. hes running a 3" toytec adjustable lift and 3" all pro springs in the back. he could've easily fit 33x12.50s but went with a 32x11.5

you already know im going with 33x10.50s for my 4runner. But toyo just came out with a 33x10.50 for their MT. it's sickly expensive though...

BFG KM2 33x10.50 - 170 a tire
TOYO Open Country 33x10.50 - 226 a tire.

Kinda crazy if you ask me...

i know your brother was running them... but in all fairness, he also has spacers on his rig...

also, i like the skinny tire... dont get me wrong, i liked having the 32x11.5s on the runner, but i picked up 2mpgs switching to the 33x10.5s...

its all about preference, and i happen to love the 33x10.5... its my daily driver... im not sure im gonna get the A/Ts again tho... like ive told others, they are SCARY in the rain... might as well be running slicks... id like to get a hold of some KM1s... i miss that design...

heh you're wrong. He bought new rims, and gave me the spacers and the old rims. the spacers that WERE on his truck are now on mine. When you saw it out at rattlesnake, it was all stock, no spacers

so, did an oil change yesterday in preparation for the trip to Idaho im about to take...
10W-40 with a quart of Lucas Oil Stabilizer... Hope it works... i know that it didnt do too good of a job to quiet the valve noise... it still sounds like an old 12 valve cummins from all the valve chatter...

anyways, this is the first large trip this truck has been on in over 100K miles, so wish me luck...

alright, sooo, not much of an update, but i did get a Scangauge II... havent ran the wires correctly or decided where its gonna sit permanently, but it works great!!

also, finally had a mechanic take a look at the motor... it doesnt have rod knock, its got piston slap... yay!

yea, the mech says the motor has MAYBE 3000 miles left in it, so if any of you guys know where i can get a 3RZ, running, for real cheap, lemme know...
