Life has been busy and haven't been getting much done, I have the Tundra back together enough to drive and that's what we have been doing, still needs paint and a few odds and ends tied up but for now it's good.
Haven't done much of anything to the runner except I did finally get around to wiring up my in cab winch control, I used a rear window switch and mounted it in a spare spot in the console left by the defunct ATC switch, much easier job than I anticipated and it will come in very handy.
No pics but I will try and snap some later.

So because all winches are different I didn't take any pics of the wiring inside the solenoid box. I used an old extension cord I had laying around for the wiring, I pulled power for the switch from the battery lug on the solenoid, you could just as well pull from the fuse box but the thread I followed did it this way so it's what I did.

I used a safety switch to break the power wire, the switch on the right is for the winch, the one on the right is for an upcoming project.

The hardest part for me was figuring out what wires do what on the window switch but with some guidance from a buddy that didn't take long. The switch on the left is the new winch control.

All pretty simple and I think it will be handy.
I also took a few minutes and finally put together a windshield washer set up, the original tank had to go when I went to 35s and it wasn't hooked up any way so I got the pump wired and working and used a 2 quart juice jug for a tank.

Seems to be working okay, I hope the bottle holds up. Anyway that's all, thanks for checking in.

So over the weekend I attended an event called Mardi Krawl, this is my second time attending the event, overall it was a good time, I'm learning that off roading in a park probably isn't my thing, it seems that either the trails are hard core buggy trails or dirt roads but it is what it is. Nothing to exciting to report, oh wait how could I forget

Already have a replacement on the way but, €£¥*> I hate that it happened

Missed the in-cab winch control, nice work. I'm a big fan of the re-purposed switch.

The winch control worked great, I had plenty of opportunities to test it out over the weekend.

Purple and black is nice. Girly with a little dignity.
I'll check back for when the links are fixed.
Finally on episode 8 of the podcasts, awesome so far. Some good information and it never hurts to hear the reminders that while you've got track of 17 different things try real hard not to forget #18 and good luck doing that! Glad to hear you've got a good plan for your back glass.

been a while, but I caught up! Man that thing turned out great! Ive been listening to the podcast and it made me want to catch up with this build, Im still 4x4less and living through you guys, I have an 86 xtra sitting in the drive needing a new motor and bed and........ but after listening to the podcast and looking at your build Im thinking about getting rid of it and building something the whole family can ride in if need be!

Hey @dirtdobber, good to see you around again, glad you are enjoying the podcast. I've always liked SUVs for several reasons, but when you have a family that's a big reason to like them lol, 3rd gen runners are really coming down in price and there are some really clean ones out there, they easy to build and make good drivers if you don't beat on them like I have mine, but I may be a bit biased towards them😃
