My wires (Toyota) had a date printed along each wire. For grins you could see if yours do too and find out just how old they are. At least there's only 3 wires so it's not as hideous expensive as it could be.

How come my have fun list is always shorter than my gotta do list?

Hab- parce que c'est la vie. (Because that's life). Isn't it?
I feel the same way too. So much I'd like to do...but never enough time.

I will check mine when I get back to it. I'm sure their original.
My have fun list isn't shorter just a lot harder to get to.

Hey chef I deal with what I have for time it gets frustrating but a guys gotta work lol.

Again haven't had much time to do any kind of work on the runner, I did pick up the wires from toyota just haven't had time to get to it. The runner has became our main source of transportation as the wife is trying to sell her gas hog dodge p/u, and my p/u has decided to start giving me fits, any way my point is having to really rely on it has made me pay more attention to things that need done. Which leads me to not really any work that of done but some changes any way, I traded a guy my roof basket for another set of tri spoke wheels, I never really like the way my basket turned out but couldn't justify building a new one but now I can yea me more Fab work, also I have had a vibration in this since I bought it I'm guessing when it got wrecked before I bought it wound up with a bent wheel and this will make possible to get rid of the wheels that somebody thought would look good with a funky paint job (what was I thinking) as well as a spare I've had a spare tire for a long time just know rim to mount it on. Like I said not really an update more like me just blah blahing thanks for checking in.!

Not really a build update more of a give the runner a rest so I can work on it update

Our new DD the runner will still be driven on a regular basis but I had my old truck almost 10 years and it was time for something newer.
I'm trying to have the 86 painted this week, then I can kinda finish it up and get it out of the shop so I can start on the front end on this one it seems like the list never ends. Thanks for checking in.

No worries man, its a long boring read lol, lots of change of direction or more so big plans that were just to much at one time. Its turned into more of a restore than a build up and at this point I'm good with that I just want it back on the road.

Finally got the runner to the tire shop today and got my tires mounted up on my new to me tri spokes, that freed up a wheel to mount my spare on. Need to get the oil changed and give it a good once over before we head out next weekend. We are going to head up to the mountains next weekend with a group of guys from the stlca club its a land cruiser club so there should be some really nice yotas there I will be sure and take lots of pics and maybe some vidio.

had a good day working on the runner, got just about everything done that I planed to do and some extra stuff. changed oil, managed to get the filter off and back on with out removeing the skid plate whew thats tight. replaced my leaking axle seal what not near as bad as I thought it might be, I had a harder time getting the old seal out that any thing else. when I filled it back up with 90 weight I decided to do my rear diff breather extention. for the breather itself I had a spare from the front diff I bought, just had a nipple on the end of it, I ran it up to the gas filler door.

As you may remember I sold my roof basket awhile back but I kept my HELLA lights I had mounted on it, I got tired of looking at them laying on the bench so I mounted them to the front bumper and wired them back up.

the big fix I did was on the tailgate although its not perfect my window goes up and down again yea, my parents have been visiting the past few weeks and my dad has been giving me a hard time about how bad it looked and that I should have fixed it a long time ago so I broke down and did the best I could.

yes thats black paint, it will protect it until I figure out what to do with it from here, and the main goal was to fix the window any way so I got that done. I still need to get started on the front end but I want to have all the parts on hand so I can do everything at once. getting packed up for our camping/wheeling trip this weekend I will get up pics when we get back. thanks for checking in.

for whenever you get there this site sells factory color spray cans. I've heard good things but haven't used them yet. I need to redo the spoiler on my prius. If I beat you to it I'll let you know how it goes.

My husband bought paint for his daughter's 91 Volvo off one of those sites. Looked good. Actually a little too good. After all, how do you match 20 years of paint fade?

You've been busy Jason! Between life, this and your yeller truck I don't know how you find the time but I'm glad you do- and with pics, too!
