Stick to dealer on the ball joints, no Moog! Several people have also mentioned Napa as a possibility, something about having to have a '555' on them? Anyway, no Moog ball joints. Several of the fails on newer joints stories I've seen have been Moog.
I stuck with 4Runner parts too, no Taco for me.
Is the dealership quoting you list price or something? Isn't there a 'yota parts online store around here somewhere? I've got OE on the outer tie rods and ball joints, but A1Cardone from Rock Auto for the rack and inner tie rods and Wheelers Off Road for the Rack bushing kit.

got home this afternoon and just wanted to do SOMTHING so I decided to knock out a small project.

two 2 inch exaust clamps and a piece of 1.5x1.25 strap weld together

another piece of strap and 2 wheel studs

a piece of 1.24 scrap DOM

weld it together and paint it up

stick it in the truck aanndd you have a spare tire mount.

didnt reinvent the wheel wheth this just a simple spare tire mount, not really what I want but its much better than stapping it to the roof or just letting it bounce around the cargo area when wheeling, somday a will figure out a better solution but this will work for now. any way thats all I got done thanks for checking in.

Jason, they're legit...they are Mossy Toyota, a full service Toyota dealer in San Diego, California. You found their online system. I've ordered from them way back when.
http://www.trademotion.com/storefron...&siteid=214001

A bunch of dealers have these front ends with great prices....they often beat local dealers even with the shipping added in. Two more are in my sig.

I've found that Mossy is a bit higher in price on average. I use the 1sttoyotaparts.com as the are fairly close to me.

I've used this one too:

Yep I go to work to relax because when I'm home I run pretty much non stop, but I enjoy it.

Ok I have been hesitant to post this because I'm embarrassed and beyond angry at myself. Thanksgiving night my boy and I decided to do a little mild night wheeling on some local trails, my better judgment told me not to but i cant pass up a little ridding. Well to make a long story short I have once again mucked something up in the front diff. I wont know how bad it is until I can dig into it but it looks like my front end rebuild just turned into a lot more work. I will be posting up info on the damage when I find out what it is. On another note I got my ball joints ordered, as well as the rack bushing kit.
