What has 4 various toned horns and sounds LOUD?

Hee hee hee, my truck.
Two from a 75 El Dorado and two from a 70's Buick.
Next person who tries to T-bone me while running the light at the end of my street may have to change their pants. They aren't air horns, but they ain't no meek little meep-meep, either.

And here's the bling removal....

Someone put those pretty little bronze stickers on the back and the gold stood out too much. I've still got to do the driver's and rear door locks.

Hey hab as I remember from trying it myself those GM horns are huge. where did you mount yours? thinking of going for a 4 tone mod myself that little meep meep (thpttt) stock horn is useless.
If i get my airbags and compressor set up I may install a big old hadley off a Mack but that will be a while for that one...
heard a F250 the other day the guy had installed one of those classic oogah model A types might go with one of them it was loud...

Thanks Lumpy!

Aviator...
I installed the two Caddy horns in the original spots. The one on the driver's side was no problem fit wise, the one on the passenger side JUST fits in with the receiver dryer, a/c line and grill. I used the original brackets, drilled holes as close to the horn as I could and cut the rest of the bracket off.
One of the Buick horns is in the odd-shaped hole created by a hole in the body and the radiator bracket on the driver's side near the headlight somewhat. The other horn is bolted to the truck at the bottom hole of the bracket that holds the center grill clip. It's behind the license plate. The only thing I did to both those brackets was bend a small tab out of the way. Both those horns fit without problem.
I tried to put the horns in places that were somewhat protected and not blocking too much air flow.
I'll have to get pics when it stops storming.

I get it hab... I was thinking of mounting two of them behind the fenders to the engine bay wall near the corner lamps and the other two near the stock locations...

99 4Runner....
Robin love is in the air....and this one has chosen the 99 and my Ford Exploder. Every day when I get home there it is, every morning when I look out the window there it is. Darn thing sits on the wiper arms and poops all over the trucks, then flutters up and down the windshields, leaving poop wing prints everywhere.

I think I saw a tiny box of chocolates and bouquet of violets on the Exploder's hood.

I'd plink it, but really it's only a little bird of wee brain and a thing for it's own image.
Hmmm, I think I'll throw a towel over the windshield and see where that goes...

1999 4Runner:
Intermittent check engine light, fair-size hesitation.
Cleaned MAF with much patience and care. Hesitation gone. It was so oily-filthy I couldn't even see the filaments. The truck came with a k&n filter, switched it out with a spare true-flow I had laying around.

For you, dear......

Horn install:

The relay 5 pin, I am using 4 of them...

One of the modified Caddy horn brackets:

The horn behind the bumper. The wire runs behind the bracket...

Buick horn in the lower left-hand corner (driver's side):

I reused some of the wiring connectors and a little of the wiring from the Buick.

Want anything specific?

Hey Hab,

Finally pulled the trigger last week and ordered the SS 3.0 for the 2000 4Runner...will finally have little fun next weekend with my install. Thanks for the inspiration! Your trucks are looking great...watch the bare feet...I was climbing around in my garage one night bare footed and stepped on the claw end of a hammer...cut and severely bruised my heel...it hurt for about 3 months...I keep the hammers off the ground now....of course you may be more organized with your tools than I am.

Did you just use 'organized' and 'Hab' in the same post???

My husband did a bunch of grinding last year and I still have to grab the tweezers to pick out yet another sliver of metal out of my feet.

Have a great time on the install, you'll have to post up a story and pics you know.

Thanks for the pics honey...

You know they have these magnetic brooms you can get (I think you can even rent them at Lowes/HD) that will pick up all those annoying bits of metal that get stuck in your toes.

We've got a cheap version. It did pick up a lot, just not enough. Some of it's also been doing some traveling. I got another piece of metal in my foot while I was making dinner a couple of days ago....
which reminds me, I gotta dig that out sometime soon.
