I've yet to see you say anything wrong. Sometimes I miss a word or two when I read your posts because there's a lot of words and ideas in them (your style, I like that about you), but how can anybody so cheerful, helpful and friendly be wrong? We're cool. We're always always cool.

The carbon monoxide detector woke me up this morning with a warning beep but not the full out alarm. It said something but without the readers I didn't catch what, then it went to 0. Peak reading was 0. The unit itself could be going bad, it's 16 years old. I'm not tired, don't feel ill or have a headache and the cat's fine.
Hey, I'm old and I keep working, why can't everything else?

Rained all night. Brought out a new and large leak in the basement I need to deal with. Good part is the rain moved on a little bit ago and I'll get to button the truck up this morning without getting all wet.

Thanks for your support guys, I always look forward to your comments on the messes I make and about your goings-on, good morning and have a terrific day!

Sorry to hear about your foundation issues... we had those here last year... dug up pretty near the whole dang thing and put in new weeping tile, sealed the foundation added a sump well and sump pump in the yard and a new drainage line out to the back of the prop.
also sealed the inner basement wall where worst leak was and dug up part of floor and added internal weeper as back up... since then dry as a bone even during worst storms.

That's a lot of weeping! Turned out part of the drainage wall had collapsed and leaves plugged it up the rest of the way, plus the downspout was clogged as well. Of course it was all behind a big boxwood bush. Got around to it and now it's much drier downstairs.

Gas was 3.15 today. I'm not mad about that.

haha yeah I was hand digging for days... no room to get a machine in...

they're "forecasting" gas will be @0.99/ltr by xmas... that's about 3.79/gal which would be cheap considering it was 1.30/ltr 2-3 weeks ago... that's 4.93/gal for those keeping score.

Save Chef's thread for the entire day, those guys are chatterboxes over there!

Glad you're back, I always enjoy your input.

Looking back at my records the most I've paid for gas this year was in Colorado for 4.02 gal. Most in MO was 3.95 gallon. Guess I can't moan too much, then.

C'mon avi, you guys are chatterboxes! I like it, way cool back n forth and great info and even better, PICS! I sure wish I had more to offer over there.

Fiesta.....now there's a car. Oh wait, rw prolly means a new Fiesta. Too bad the 4Runner can't get gas mileage like that!
Hope you two enjoyed CO and UT me-style! Just be glad you couldn't smell me, especially in the desert. I'd rather be hydrated than pretty.

96 4Runner 245,320 miles
Started an occasional little squeak squeak squeak, what I call a 'rolling' noise, sped up when I did, stopped when I push the clutch in or stopped rolling.....greased driveshaft. Did the front too.
GOOD MORNING!

Good morning to you!
Or, it may not be a Fiesta, but it's small and not sold here. I rode in it 3 years ago and, well, I'm old and cannot remember.

We did enjoy. She had been to some of the parks in '97 before I met her and she was interseted in seeing off the beaten path. Your posts served the purpose well.

Did you plant any winter type things in the garden?

Coming up with a little different configuration with the cd changer. While had it apart I fixed the non-lighted climate control. The aftermarket bulb is a #74.
A quick how-to (after dash is apart):

Once you get down to the clear plastic doo-dad that is over the bulb, undo it. There is a plastic tab where my thumb is that you pull away from the lens while you gently pry the lens up with a small flat blade screw driver. Should require no force at all....

The lens you just removed...

Which exposes the single lonely little bulb socket. Pull bulb straight out....

Here is the old bulb (green) next to the new bulb (clear)

Carefully roll the little green bulb condom off the old bulb. Roll onto new bulb.

Test it before you put the whole mess back together. Success!

The lens keys into the driver's side and clips in on the passenger side...

And there you go. No more climate control roulette at night!

Yes. That is a cassette deck. I have already been ribbed about it once today, so shut up already. I happen to still have some really great mixed tapes. Sure, I never listen to them, but still.....

RW....no winter stuff. I've still got peppers and tomatoes growing. There are peas but I don't know if they'll get done fast enough. I did just pull the Okra, that didn't like the last cold snap.
You?

The last of the corn is the fridge, last of tomatoes are trying to ripen, still pulling carrots, the deer ate the few pea pods, but they have missed the late spinach and swiss chard. Last of radishes, too. Sigh.....then the wait 'til spring.

I hate the in-between seasons wait. Mice got my carrots. You pull a great looking top to get....NOTHING! Sounds like your garden grows good.

This is the best garden I've had in many years...things just clicked. Oh, soon you'll have next years starts going.

The climate control bulb change pics are helpful. I went through that process a couple of years ago.

Thanks, I know some of the stuff I do pics on is pretty basic but if it helps someone then cool.

Gauges and put cd changer controller thingy in a more permanent situation.

I don't smoke, I don't put change or anything in the ashtray and mostly it just annoys the heck out of me when I wheel and it keeps falling open.
So:
Take out the ashtray, then the slide/support thingy.

Which leaves you with this:

Here's what's going in. You think I would've at least cleared the crumbs off the table. Sheesh.
