Old and blind......I got carded today. The clerk should've known something was up when I put on the readers to see which card was my license.
Lol...I have it happen too. Hmmm, your profile simply says, "I'm old", but with your age over to the side I see you are still young when compared to me (at least by a few years).
Thanks!
Want rear bumper first, with tire carrier and class III hitch....yeah, I know.
Transfer case is hiding behind belly pan but the dif has a draft. Still mulling the locker, thinking e-locker or arb but I was broke a while ago so more waiting. Y'all better have meets during the summer, trail build season is winding down and soon I'll be weeding the garden and twiddling my thumbs.
How's things with the twos of you?
Things are good. working two jobs and finding free time is well, not free. New motor going in the truck soon and hopefully shake down run here shortly. I'll be sure to give you a heads up.
and I even used the stinky cut-off AND still own all my fingers/face/bits and pieces. I really do not like that thing. Some metal, a drill, a lot of measuring, and some bolts n stuff. No doing pics cause the hubby had the camera for some Volvo nerdery. Just did pics.

Hubby switched the air from recirc to fresh and the blower got loud and annoying.
Take off the door sill plastic. 4 philips and pop it out. Take out kick panel cover. Slides forward off brackets mounted on back of floor and near door, visible in photo 2...
This is the passenger side under the dash. Blower motor is black roundish thing hanging down...
The air vents from where the blower is, looking up. That nasty grey stuff is a falling apart foam substance. Keeps the doors from clapping shut. The doors will also blend:
Closed
Open
What it looks like without the glove box. You don't need to remove this, I just got curious about a side view...
And from underneath...
I put the blower motor back in with the 3 torx screws, plugged the electrical connector back in, put the kick panel back in place and then the door sill piece with its 4 philips screws. Tried it out. Quiet again. Quieter than before it got loud. Almost.....too quiet.
Oh yeah. The squirrel cage is held on by a clamp and a plastic tab that fits into the shaft. I wanted to remove it for cleaning but it did not feel like budging and, given its age, I let it be and cleaned it without water or soap. Didn't want to have to source another cage.
Hab, there for a minute, I thought you were going to find a cozy mouse house.
I did not mess with the clip either and have used the sprayer on the kitchen sink faucet to carefully spray off the squirrel cage. But, a stiff brush works well too. Again, your clear explanation and pictures will help someone out. Have a great weekned!

Excellent to know for the next time about the foam. It is really ratty and that's a great idea. Pulling the blower motor was a super-simple procedure but I did the write-up for anyone who might want the reference anyway.
Cool, thanks!
My corn is now 4' tall. Squirrels have munched 8 of them so far.
We're in zone 6a. Been having to water a lot but everything's doing great. Blackberries are just beginning to ripen. How's your garden?

Husbandio must've liked the side turn signal idea alright because today we received a set a clear Saab signals in the mail.
He measured, marked dremeled, fit, finessed, wired and got it done. My small contribution was running to the store to pick up a pair of 168NA bulbs.
I wouldn't change how I did mine but I like what he did, higher on the fender than I put the 96's, and further front.
That's the antenna motor in the hole...there was room for both it and the socket, but he couldn't have gone any farther forward...
Just curious.... Did you think of running the lights on the bottom of the Mirrors... so you can see them front and back, etc.? I've seen that, somewhere on here... Just curious, s'all.
I did think of something similar Chef, but liked the side marker idea better. Do they help? I'm not sure. Yesterday I signaled to move over and the lady driving just behind and in that lane raced up to keep me from doing so and later on in the day I signaled for a left, moved into the turn lane and the lady in the oncoming left turn waiting for a clear spot started waving her arms around angrily. That had me stumped until she slammed her visor down. Ah, sun in her eyes. Oy.
The '99s lights look great. Didn't take that hubby of yours long to borrow your idea. lol
Garden: Those squirrels just won't give you a break. A full chichen wire enclosure with a wire roof? Blackberries are just started blooming last week here.
I'm jealous of 4' high corn. My tallest is 18", shortest 6" and all planted the same time. I'm in zone 8a due to the buffering effects of the Columbia River with 7a a couple miles south of here. However, my enemy is wind and wind combined with high heat later in the summer. I live in on a exposed bluff and get the full impact the the westerly winds flowing through the Columbia River Gorge. Great for windsurfing (I don't), but tough for gardens and typically end up with a lot of stunted, wind damaged plants. Gusts to 50mph this past Saturday, already this morning 17-23mph gust to 33 later....ditto for tomorrow. We get wind like this for days in a row through September.
Root crops doing ok, zuchinni, and cucumbers looking good, green beans are covered in 85% tranparent cloth just to keep the leaves on them . You get the picture....... I keep trying though.
Now, back to the regularly scheduled programming....
