Question X reas suspension

I am almost ready to buy a Limited with everything except the Navigation system. I am getting the v6 and I want the X rea suspension. This seems to be a problem in my area. The dealers can't find one.
My questsion is should I holdout for this option? Is it worth it?

Not if you plan on lifting it. With the xreas your only option is a spacer lift...

steved, welcome here! Yes, hold out for the X-REAS. Do a search here and read how I order my vehicles through the Fleet department (not the same as Internet dept.). I'm able to buy at net invoice (less advertising, incentives, and holdbacks) spec'd as a custom order exactly as I want it. Plus, you'll be ordering an '04 now and can get the third row seat on a Limited if you like. Good luck.

My commute is 100 miles 5 days a week. The gas bill would be too much.

The xreas is without a doubt one of the best features of the new 4Runner, IMHO, as long as you're not planing to lift it. I drove one without it and it felt like I was driving a whale.
The way I see it is, if you're going to spend that much money on a vehicle make sure you're getting exactly what you want, even if it means waiting a while longer.

100 miles a day.
I don't understand why this is an option on the Limited version and standard on the Sport. Go figure.
I found a dealership that said they could possibly trade for one but nothing positive and their asking alot IMHO.

I would recommend the V8, not THAT much difference in mileage between V6 & V8.

I have the JDM model Limited with the X-REAS but I have the 3.4L 5VZ-FE engine. V8 is not available here.

The X-REAS is well worth the wait as long as your not going to lift it. The handling and cornering with the X-REAS is incedible for such a large truck.

I've never seen a Limited V6 with Xreas, maybe it has something to do with price, they want to keep a big enough gap between the V6 Limiteds and the V8 Limiteds so people would actually buy the V6 Limteds.

2mpg is not a real deciding factor for me when I buy a truck, steved for every 150 miles I put on the truck Im putting in an average of 25bucks of gas and thats regular.

I have one. And it is just awesome. The handling has very BIG difference from my 99 SR5.

I noticed that the X-REAS is an option in the US version of Limited. It is standard in Canada. But you guys has more choices of colors. I want the dark blue but it is not available so I settle for black again. Oh well....
