is it worth the money and time to install Electric fan on 4Runner ?

Hi, I am wondering if it is worth the money and time to replace the belt driven fan by the engine with the Electric Flex-a-Lite fan on the 4Runner ? If you do have an electric fan installed, about how many extra HP do you get ? Do you see any increase in fuel mileage ? Do you recommend the installation of an electric fan made by Flex-a-Lite for better engine performance or just stick with the stock fan ?

Let me know, thank you

Worth it to go electric. Either Flex or Taurus.

Sorry, Mike, I didn't notice much.

I think I'd just stick with the old reliable stock fan. One of these days, I might even convert back.

Mines being installed as I type I will post a comment next weekend. (I would have done it myself but my runner is stuck in the mountains after a accident. I drove a truckload of parts to the guy fixing it including the Fan conversion kit. Why not change it to electric since i cracked the stock shroud)

FS;

Like we've talked about offline, this will be another one of the mods that (I think) you'll notice in throttle response versus measurable HP/torque. I don't know that it would show up on a dyno.

When I did it, I could clearly feel a difference in low-end response. Like, blipping the throttle to get back to speed after following someone making a right hand turn.

Like Steve said, there have been a ton of discussions here about this...
