Will they work?

Will headers made for a 5vze fit a 3vze engine?

99.9%sure they wont...

the exhaust runs down the right side of 3rd gens, and it runs down the left side of 2nd gens... also why would the company specify the 3.4, they would all be making 3.4/3.0 headers not just for the 3.4... plus, they are completely different engines. But other than that... I can't see why not :pat:

The blocks of the engines are near identical, but the heads are different. Thus the difference in headers. They may work, but you'd need to see the 3.0 header and the 3.4 header together to tell. Stranger things have happened.

Thanks for all the replies guys... sorry for the stupid question. But, it's really hard to find stuff for 3.0. It's always 22r/22re or 5vze... anyone know where to get some headers for the 3.0?

cool cool... would you suggest buying the stuff to get the 3.0 workin' good (only 50,000 mi) or just totally swap the engine? If I did swap the engine, it'd probably be next summer...

Depends on how much money you want to spend and how willing you are to dedicate yourself to your truck. You will NEVER get anything near what you paid for it, and its not going to be like legos... there are just soo many things that need to be done and that could go wrong. I wouldn't suggest it if your truck is a DD. But thats just me...
