I think there is an access door under youre passenger side rear seat. Its not too hard to get to from there.

kool...like most cars have....i will look tonight.....my truck putts and it's killing me....with all that i have learned today i will be replacing ...ummm the whole thing...lol

Not on the 2nd gens, only on 1st. Pump is in the tank, and the tank has to come out to get to it. There's an access panel under the passenger side rear seat but that's only for the wiring.

Yep, access hatch in the 1st gen, I guess not in the 2nd gen. Tank is really not hard to drop. 3 bolts front and 3 bolts rear to drop the skid plate. Then if the tank is full, there is a drain plug at the bottom rear. If relatively empty, drop it as-is. Disconnect the pump wiring and hoses, disconnect the fuel level sender (back of the tank, connector near passenger wheel well), unclamp the filler and vent hoses. Then 3 bolts front and 3 bolts rear and it comes right down. First time I dropped mine, I used a floor jack to lower it until I felt how heavy (rather light) it was, now I just drop it onto my stomach and set it aside.
