you would need a 4" pro comp kit and 3" body lift and then som 4.88s or 5.29s. re-gearing is about a $1000 job, give or take $200.

the 4" suspension lift 3" body lift would not be a bad setup, but you might not need that big of a body lift... maybe 1 or 2 inches. i dont like body lifts because you can see the frame, i think they are pretty ugly, especially if you go as much as 3" try and get more suspenion and less body lift. and with 35's you might want to regear. if you do a lot of offroading go 5.29, if not go with 4.88. there are some calculator things to help you find out. let me get you the site...

We even have a tire & gear calc here at YotaTech.

It's on the YotaTech on the web page.

Ace Laserna (sp?) has 35's on his vehicle. He has a 2.5" Suspension lift and 3" Body Lift. He rubs a little at full flex though.

You will def. have to regear (so you might as well install Lockers at the same time )

I am wondering how big of tires you would be able to fit if you used some prerunner fiberglass fenders for the front. Anybody ever try that yet?

I would go with 4.88 Gears. I have 4" suspension and 3" body and I have a lot of clearance. I have never seen 2nd or 3rd generation 4runner with 35" tires. They would look sweet.

i run 35s on my yota pickup, and i have a 4" trailmaster lift, and 2" body lift. my rear even sags now , and i still clear it no prob. as for re-gearing it, yeh u'll need to do front and back. i have 456 on mine... 488 are good, so are 529, but when u get 529, the pinion is REAL dinky and can break easier. id go with 488. but yeh... price wise... not sure. i got my rear r&p done (they broke!!!! ) for $400 ( i took the pumkin onli to the shop)... yeh

u may need to mod ur axles, and then u may need to get extended brake lines... and so on...

yeh, bigger tires cost more than just getting new tires. sux ... :T but big tires are cool hhehhee

Less lift, more cutting?

If you don't hav e an issue with cutting your fenders, you might want to look at these fiberglass flares from Iceland.

They have a 2nd gen with 38's on it under Modifications. Doesn't look like it has a ton of lift. I emailed them for pricing. Are you sitting down? $680 for the flares and $180 for shipping. Definitely would be one of a kind here in the states!
