Ah yes, good point. It's been a while since I paid any attention to how the older style decals line up on the gas tank lid. Thanks for posting that up close picture. I see now how that is near impossible to do.

The directions that come with the stickers outlines the soapy water method too and it worked great tho' at first you will notice alot of air bubbles (albeit small) that you couldn't get out, don't worry since as it dries over a couple of weeks the air bubbles will disappear.

I'm getting itchy to do my springtime maintenence and cleaning and then the stickers will go on but that'll have to wait til mid April after my vacation and then I'll have pics.

You could, but you shouldn't need that much.

Just make sure you get the car nice and wet and you should be fine.

The decal does not need to be that wet.

As long as the area of the vehicle is nice and wet, the decal will move plenty.

Camo would look alright on an appropriate colored truck like tan or desert dune and outfitted to fit a hunting motif but might look out of place otherwise.

in your case...not good.

Besides, no one will even be able to see it on there if it's camo .

yea, maybe on black it would look good as well. i've only ever seen one camo decal on a truck before and it was on a newer white z71. it didn't look to bad.

Personally, I tend to associate Z-71s with hunting/fishing. Reason being, I know guys that drive Z-71s that also hunt/fish a lot. Not to say that guys who drive 4Runners don't hunt/fish, but the camo look tends to fit trucks better IMO than luxury suvs. Not saying the 4Runner is necessarily a luxury vehicle, but yours has a more luxury look than say that of a Z-71.

Just my .02

But hey, if you want to camo it up, by all means do

oh no, i dont want the camo ones, just curious to see how they would look on a 4runner/tacoma as i never have seen them before, but i agree with your association. my limited is more geared to luxury, but i'm more into the sporty look i guess you can say. (looking back i wish i had gone with the black sport vs. my 4runner, but it had a messy interior/brake work needed and mine didn't so....)
