Is there a 12V Yota electrical genius in the house?

Im a f***ing idiot! I put in a new cs144 alternator in my 97 T4R, no problem. Soldered in the new wiring harness, no problem. Hooked the alternator wires and hooked my battery back up, no problem. Went to check all alternator bolts to make sure I had tightened everything properly INCLUDING the alternator battery lead nut and grounded out my wrench so bad it briefly tack welded itself to the body, BIG PROBLEM. Now I have only my alarm. interior lights and headlights working. So basically anything that doesn't require the key to be turned works but NOTHING ELSE! Ignition does nothing when I turn the key. I have already unhooked the battery again in hopes it would somehow reset the computer, no luck. I've checked every fuse that I know of under the hood and in the dash and nothing is blown. Anyone have any suggestions? I am dead in the garage and really don't want to pay someone to come to my house. Im never this stupid, so feel free to goof on me along with your suggestions.

If all your fuses are good, sounds like you might have burned some fusible links. Start checking for power at the fuses and fuse boxes.

Should be between the battery and fuse box. Check for power at the fuse box if you dont have power start tracing it back to the battery.

Ok guys after some research about fusible links I found out the one for the alternator is the 100 amp beast in the fuse box in the engine compartment. I had already checked this through the viewing window on top and it looked fine so I moved on to the rest and then started this post. Well I read this for a bit (http://www.toyota-4runner.org/3rd-ge...elec-prob.html) and said WTF Ill just take it out and check, no harm no foul. After removing it I found a hairline split on the lower side not seen until I took the top of the fuse apart after I got it out of the box which is no easy task. So off to the parts store in the morning then fingers crossed.....

You might wanna look into why those fuses are blown. They are there to protect the rest of the elec. system....
Replacing alternator doesn't cause those fuse to blow.

Well thank goodness, it was the 100 amp fusible link. Replaced it and put everything back together and my truck fired right up. Best news is that the GM alternator that I put in that started this adventure works great. Thanks for all the suggestions gents. I also took pics on how to replace the fuse so I will start a new thread about it. And special thanks to "854x4" and "Socco" on T4r.org, because your suggestions are what got me headed in the right direction to fix this.

And heres the "how to" with pics on replacing the fusible link.
