Echoing what riverrat said, if you can't even afford to fix up an essential part like a cat, you can't afford to be driving at all.

Ok, to awnser your question about the cel, i got a high-flow cat installed and i used that link that goat poated on page 2.

Cost me $6 from radio shack and wired it up today. And 50 miles later no cel, will see if it holds out but looking at the o2 sensors voltages i would say that it will be fine.

cool, i installed my URD simulator today and drove over 70 miles with no code. simple install once you get to the ECU.

the power and throttle response are back. it seemed like the motor was in limp mode when the CEL was on. i will let you know about the fuel mileage after a full tank.
