I have a hole in my exhaust that i tried to patch with JB weld. Not the best fix so i am trying to order one from partsgeek.com. however i am getting nervous that im not entirely sure which one to get. I have a 2wd 2.4L 4 cyl standard cab and bed. there is a pipe for 2wd drive that is listed for LWB (Large wheel base?) model code RN85. My vin is RN81. does anyone know if this will still fit my truck or know of an online store that has the pipe i need? any help would be appreciated. thanks!

 

On a different site SWB/LWB/ and one other (XLWB?) are all listed as the same pipe. Oh yeah i did forget to mention this is the front pipe from manifold to Cat. Anyone experienced with this?

 

Any reason why yours cant be patched by an exhaust shop?
And as far as I know, that pipe would be the same for all models. It might just be longer where it meets up with the cat, so it might have to be trimmed to fit and welded on.

 

The pipe is old and rusting in several places so i thought it would be best just to replace it.

 

I always forget that people have to deal with rust issues.
Just doing a few quick searches last night I ran into the same issue you are seeing. Lots available for the 4x4s and lots available for the ext.cab and XL wheel base but cant find any for the short wb.
I would probably buy the longer one and cut it to length and weld it back together.
