SAW complete kit
#1
I was just on Mikes site xtremeoff-road.com and saw that there is complete SAW kit comming soon. Thant sounds cool. a front and back kit. I just wonder if it is going to have new rear springs or just spacers. Either way I think I will wait until this kit is out before I get my SAW's

Ya I am pretty curious as to how they are going to lift the back end as well...As soon as they let me know, I will let you guys know...For some reason I have a feeling it is going to be a spacer, however, lets keep our fingers crossed and hope it is some new coils!!
Thanks for visiting the site!

Hey guys, are the SAW's adjustable? PP says they are adjustable from "stock to 3" of lift"... how? Is it like that rancho adjustable shocks? Or do you have to manually adjust them?
Also, if you choose to make it a 3" lift, won't brake lines need to be extended? and CV boots/joints at bad angles?

huh? i'd say don't bother w/ the kit... just get saw's in the front and get ome's or downeys for the rear.... a much better setup than getting spacers.... Since you're gonna get saw's might as well finish the setup strong!
INsr5runner:
saw's are adjustable coilovers... looks like this.... but for trucks... looks exactly the same though
By looking you can tell where you can crank up the coil so there is more lift....
Ideally speaking you don't want to crank them up beyond the 2" mark but i've read other members who have em up to 2.5"... Prob the safest way to crank it up beyond that would be to get some ats upper arms and a front diff drop spacer. then and only then would u be able to crank it up to 3" and have all the fins on the boot not touch eachother...
If you're planning to lift... this is probably the ultimate setup on the long run. Especially if you're planning to put a arb/tjm front bumper! if not then probably going w/ some ome/bils/downey setup w/ some spacers (if you want) might be a cheaper route!

Hey guys, are the SAW's adjustable?
---YES.
PP says they are adjustable from "stock to 3" of lift"... how?
---Spanner wrench adjuster nut loads the spring and makes the assembly longer or unloads the spring and makes it lower.
Is it like that rancho adjustable shocks? Or do you have to manually adjust them?
--You have to jack-up your vehicle and loosen a set screw and manually turn the adj. nut with the supplied spanner wrench. if you don't jack it up you'll rip the red poly bushing at the top, I stupidly know that from experience.
Also, if you choose to make it a 3" lift, won't brake lines need to be extended?
-- Mine aren't anywhere near stretched, it is best to put in stainless braided ones though because it'll give you a less spongy feel since there is no rubber line to expand.
CV boots/joints at bad angles?
--you shouldn't crank them above, say, 2"-2.25" unless you install manual hubs and high angle cv's. such as the kit from Offroad Solutions, see link I provided. - or install the diff drop spacer kit.Offroad Solutions

Yeah... That's why I 'm just goin to replace my front OME with the SAWs. I wanted to see if the kit had new springs or not. I may replace my rear shocks with the SAW big-bores if it is worth it...

I had a lengthy discussion with Sway A Way today in regards to the use of a spacer to lift the rear end of the 4Runner. We will see what the future holds...As far as the big bore shocks, well I think those should be a very nice product...I am considering swapping my Bilsteins for them once they are in production

Hey Mike,
Glad to see you guys added some more content to the online shopping page. I may pick up some of those SAW big bores to replace the cheapy ProComp ES3000's I got. I got those because they were $30 each and I was waiting for the MX-6's to come out for my vehicle. well, it don't like like it's gonna happen. so I'll be contacting you guys soon. by the way, what does the "VHD" in the OME coils section stand for? Very Heavy Duty? do those give more lift than the HD's? I know they are stiffer.
