Rust ahh!

So i really dont know what to do about spots that are rusting on the bottom of my doors on my 'runner. I also have some spots on my chrome bumper...what can i do?

Do a search, there is a ton of stuff rust... For the body you pretty much sand off the paint until you get to bare metal then spray a rust-stop/primer on it, then paint over that (though, that doesn't completely stop rust, it will always come back).

As for the bumper, the only solution I've found for that is to buy a new one. They are fairly cheap to buy off ebay.

what if the entire undercarrige from front bumper to rear is soo rusted that when you glide your finger gently over the surface of anything it becomes red?

what can i do to fix it?

Find someone to bead blastthe frame and then paint it. I never had to bead this one because I paint my 01 Tacoma frame once a year and it looks new under the truck. Mike

Check out POR-15...you can get it off the website and/or EBAY...its supposed to be pretty good at stopping rust.

Naval Jelly supposedly dissolves rust very well...never used it myself, just recently heard this.

I have used navel jelly and POR-15.

If you use the naval jelly, its an annual evernt.

POR-15 IS in fact, a permanet solution and weel worth the high cost.
