Painted grille/bumpers?

Hi folks,

So I'm trying to get together a birthday present for my bro.....he has a 2004 black tacoma, and has always wanted the black bumpers/grille package, so that's what I'm getting together. I got the parts already, I'm just not quite sure what part of the grille I'm supposed to be painting. I know the whole bumpers are to be painted black, but do i mask off the center portion of the grille and the two fake mesh sections, or do i just have the whole thing painted? I'm not too familiar with Tacomas, so any help in this area would be appreciated.

Thanks!

j

Haha, no, I have a buddy that owns an autobody shop. He owes me a couple favors, so he's going to prep and paint them for me.

THanks for the *almost* help though!

Here's my original question, in visual form:

But you think I should just spray the entire thing black? There really isn;t any merit to keeping the center portion unpainted?

You should paint the chrome trim on the corner lights too so it will match the grill.
