I just got back a bit ago front spending most of the morning at Badland Bumpers.

I took mainly pictures of Jeff's wife's '02 4 door Tacoma.
He is going to be putting these new front bumpers into high gear soon to sell them.

Her front bumper is Rynoloned as well as the rear tube bumper.
Also a set of sliderz that is in the pic folder listed below are Rynolined as well.

I noticed her rear tube bumper looks very good on her rig.
The problem with that style for my rig is the sides underneath where the stock bumper went are very ugly on 2nd gens.
If I go with that style, I'll have Jeff tack on some plates from behind and blend it in so the sides are hidden.

I also noticed that the new bumper he has on her rig might fit a 3rd gen 4Runner.
Since I am not familiar with that gen very much, perhaps some can take a look at pictures # 66 & 67 and see where I circled the bolts that bolt the bumper on.

This bumper does not mount like a TJM where you use separate mounting brackets.
It mounts directly to the truck just like my ARB does.

I have a hunch this bumper will fit 3rd gens.
If I had a 3rd gen, I'd be all over this sharp looking bumper.
It has diamond plate on the top too that you can use to stand on.

She doesn't have the winch on it yet, but it will later.
The sliderz are getting welded onto her rig today, and 33" tires are also going on.

The Revtek lift kit might be coming off, and I told the two of them about the SAW Race Runners like a few of you are running, so they might go for that, and AALs for the rear instead of the Revtek blocks that are on it now.

Oh, my sliderz came out great! They have two coats of black powder coat paint on them that matches my ARB pretty good.
I won't be putting the 3M tape on these.
Got tired of scraping up my legs on them, and the stuff is almost impossible to take off when you repaint them.

Anyway, I am pretty sure that new bumper they have will fit a 3rd gen.
It will also fit a 2nd gen with it built right.
If I did not have the ARB already, I'd be sportin' one of those pups.

the rig has felt naked for almost two weeks

Now I'll have to see if this powder coat holds up better than the rattle can paint that was on there.

 

WOW that taco rocks and so do those bumpers. Your sliders also look sweet.

 

i am looking at the pics now. i like the bumper.. but..
i didn't know the ARB doesnt use brackets! GOOD! i am glad i didnt get the TJM now. not really a big deal, but it is just one less thing to break.. and stronger when its right on the frame. wish i'd known that when i was trying to pick ARB or TJM for like two months!

anyways nice looking pics so far. when i get my rear bumper that is not a bad idea - ryno line them... sweet! my comp is really slow so i might only look at a few more of them

I am going to forgo the gussets for now.
He says these are not a real necessity, even if I do slam down the bars hard.

He doesn't gusset any of his other stuff I don't think, and he's never seen a tube wrench a frame before.

Man, his 1st gen is dirty.
He played up at Evan's Creek earlier.

He's heading out somewhere up North this weekend to play.
Yeah, I'm trying to talk him into getting the Race Runners for Carol's truck.
He had not seen them before.
They just put the Revtek list on a few weeks ago, and are not super thrilled with it.

Are you going to be the guinea pig to see if her bumper will indeed bolt right up to a 3rd gen?

The powder coat turned out nice, and they look way better than before.

Rowan, when you ready for a rear bumper like that, he can make one up and ship it to ya.
If you want it powder coated, he can have the guy who did my bars do your bumper too.

Expect about $100 to $150 for shipping on a bumper though.
It's not cheap to send something that big across country.

Those are the right length for a double cab like you have.

I get so many people looking at these pics at once, it exceeds the bandwidth for a bit.
I have high bandwidth, but there must be a lot looking at my pics now, so it also shuts down my website for awhile.

Metal, not sure what they would cost to ship.
To get them localy welded, you'd have to ask a local shop.
I would not think more than $50?
