No muffler

How would my 2004runner sound with no muffler at all on it. I have 2 catalytic converters because of ca emissions so backpressure is not a problem? I mean is it going to sound alright or ricy.

best way to find otu would be to do it yourself...i thought my 80' 20r would sound like crap with no muffler or cat converter....but at low to mid rpm's it sounds like a chevy V8....but high rpm's it sonds like a crappy ricer

My Magnaflow gives it a nice low idle and good hum in higher rpms.

with no muffler it will most likely sound like crap, it will be loud but it will become abnoxious really quick, i ran with no exhaust on my truck for a while and while it did sound really good at an idle but once i got moving i began to miss things like talking to people and listening to music while driving. i dont know how bad it would sound going through 2 cats, but i dont think it would sound very good

once you replace the bolts be sure to use anti seize so it doesnt happen again. if you want a straight exhuast for more high end power just go with a glasspack. it would be loud and give it somewhat a deeper tone than none altogether. it seems you want deep so i would recomend a flowmaster. thats what i put on my 3.4 swaped 4runner. the magnaflow is also nice but i feel most exhuast companies are the same really. i ran my exhaust straight but desided more back pressure for the low end was needed in my case. it was loud straight off my headers but sounded awesome but it would be anoying if i kept it like that
