New Exhaust

What do you all think would be best for me to go with? I have the 22re and its all stock exhaust right now. I want it to be "dumped" or hidden because i dont like the pipe showing on it unless its dual out the back.

Whats the best sounding exhaust for the 22re? But lso something that doesnt make me sound like i'm a ricer.

Well, one of my other cars is a 1968 Cougar and of course i will never gain that small block 302 sound but i also have a 04 PT Cruiser GT Turbo and i have modded the hell out of it and i like the exhaust on it because it sounds like a euopean sports car.

I want a deep tone but not a high "yelling" tone when accelerating. A good sounding idle and not much resonance. Although since i have a shell and the windows in between i shouldnt get much resonance should i?

i'm running a flowmaster 50 series, 2.25 cat back. off a NWOR header. get nice throaty sound down low, no rice sound as it accelerates and no highway drone. i wasn't looking for the loud of the 40's though.

LCE header
Flowmaster Delta 40 series
High flow cat
2 1/4" custom pipe
$800 parts/labor to install it all

Sounds very beefy and definitely not ricey. If it did I'd rip it out.

The pic you see of the tailpipe on the link, that was the stupid placement right behind the rear shackle, made them reroute it since it was not done right and like I told them the first time :pat: ... it now dumps right in front of the rear bumper...hidden completely.

Get the Masterflow 40 series then! Thats what i'm getting to add with my (still in the box) Magnaflow high flow cat... and Downey or the yet to be released Thorley headers.

Wabbit, it's nice to see you basically have the same setup as i've been planning all along... right now it's just kinda last on my list of things to do.
