Talking Pics are great

The pics are nice but what would be helpful is a write-up how you did all that mumbo jumbo electrical stuff with the new gauges.

What's the difference in the headlights anyways?

99+ style headlights are crystal clear and the 96-98 are frosted. I have the 99 style in mine as well. WT you need to get the 99 clear corners now, they match the new headlights great.

crystal clear until you dunk your truck in a mud pit, and fill them with muddy water. Then they turn brown

Oh man a write up I hate doing them even for work Guess cause I work in the IT world, I get tired of stairing at a computer by the time I get home.
but I guess if there is enough interest I can do one but, I think there is a pretty good one in the writeup section now on doing the gauges already. I just hooked my wire up to a easier place.

Yeah I might have to give Jason B a call and see how much a new pair would cost since I got my last ones from him long ago...

The 99+ also have the bulb behind a cover of sorts and bounces the beambackward and then off the relectors while the the older style utilizes the direct bulb light, that's actually the biggest diff.

No problem I got them from a guy parting out a 99, for 150.00 shipped to my door for both, I thought that was a good deal from what I have seen for some on ebay or new out there. You know I have a set of 96 ones sitting around hmmmm maybe I need to ebay some of my old junk. If your interested let me know. He now looking for parts like a +99 center console and brake handle assembly for me

Are the icons on the horizontal gauge (park, drive, ect, etc) the same on your 96 as my 01? I've got the Speedhut guages and they did not make any white face inserts for the horizontal part on the bottom. I'd like to buy the ones you bought and use the horizontal white inserts, but I don't know if the icons will line up. Does anyone know?
