perhaps a bit more info as far as what type of vehicle you have will speed up the number of replies.

Sorry, it's a 1987 4 runner
I have tested all circuits with a test light, NO power.
I have 214000 miles on my baby and I don't want this to be the end. Is there a relay of some sort, if so where?

Get a circuit diagram and start tracing it. Let me know if you do not have access to the electrical diagram of your vehicle, I will try to pull it out from my repair manual.

Good luck,

Nam

I have already searched the wiring diagram. It shows a power window relay, but it's not there. I live in upstate New York, not someplace you want your windows stuck.....LOL Up or down.
It shows a relay next to the manual brake handle, nothing there????
I also called a couple of dealers im my area, no one seems to know. My next post may be in the classified area :con

No, I have no power to the switches. That is why I was thinking relay. I called another dealer on friday, they said they have a part listing for a power window relay ($294) but had no idea of the location. Looks like I have to do it the hard way, take EVERYTHING apart and start tracing wires
This is going to suck, I can't believe the cost and who knows where and when it I'll get it.

power windows

Does anyone know where the window relay is located in a 1987 4 runner?

It's D6 - see if this helps.
The objects next to it are A12 Antenna relay and O10 Overdrive relay.

Assuming you started with the fuse?

Assuming it is indeed a bad control relay - if you cannot find a cheaper source for a replacement, if you wanted to you can wire around it quite easily, or put in a $4 simple relay. All the "control" relay does for all that money is give you the time delay after the ignition is turned off. It simply feeds power on/off to the window switches, but has a 60 second "off" delay. Nice feature but not worth $300 to me!

Seems on the later 1st gen Runners they use a Power Window Module not a relay, Toyota wanted $419 Cdn plus 15% Tax for this puppy. (Stupid Stealerships)

FIX:

Run a power line from the battery with a 30AMP fuse, into the door. Splice this Power line into the Blue Wire with Red Stripe (Located: Drivers Side Window Switches)

This Bypasses the Power Window Module all together. The neat part is that the windows will go up and down with out the key in the ignition.
