Magnaflow Exhaust 15810
Has anyone successfully installed a Magnaflow 15810 kit made for the Tacomos on their 3rd gen 4Runner? From the specs it appears to be a direct cat back bolt on. I am thinking about ordering it, but am not sure if there are anything known to be different. I am forced to go this route as my tail pipe and mid pipes are starting to rust away at the welds.
I have a link in case anyone wants to review it.

how so? I think the 15810 is closer to our wheelbase dimension than a crew cab. Isn't the 4 runner closer to a Tacoma Extended cab shortbed?
Thanks for all your help

hi everyone, magnaflow just sent me an email with the CAD drawings exported out to a GIF file. I have posted it for everyone to use a reference or resource if at all helpful. I will measure my stock exhaust up when I get into my buddies toasty warm garage.

Thats not going to fit well. The 4runner exhaust goes towards the center of the truck after the muffler to clear the upper control arms, then over the crossmember then it snakes around the spare tire. If you have a lift and no spare under the truck, it may work with mior mods, but I dont think it will fit easily.
PS: my shop specializes in custom exhaust and turbo systems, I was just under my 4runner last week looking at how I would build my new custom exhaust.

I have the same magnaflow too and love it, you can usually get a used one on ebay or cragislist. I wanted a valid warranty so I got it here. Magnaflow 49174. Also some of the forum sponsors selling magnaflow usually have a sale going on. Either way its a great cat, sounds great, and very easy to install.

that is a Tacoma aftermarket against a Tacoma stock.
After further investigating and the input from other members on the board. I am forced to go the custom exhaust route. In all honesty, I'm glad at this point. The shop is going to do a 18" Magnaflow, full stainless 2.25 or 2.5 pipe from cat back, and any custom tip that I choose for $375 installed. That's cheaper than me buying the system and doing it myself. Thanks everyone.
