Question Hood Protector

Should I get the one for the regular 4Runner or the one for the sport model. There are two different hood protectors. What do you all think??

I just got the Lund Avenger model for mine. Went on great with no problems and I like the way it looks, low profile on the hood. Here is a pictures of it on mine.

That's very low profile. I'm adding that to my list of things to do.

I got it from Truckstuff.com http://shop.store.yahoo.com/hdsrg/lunavdef.html

The price was $31.50 + $10.00 shipping. Some of the stores locally had different makes that were more that this one. I like this model because it is low profile. I am sure that it does not provide the same protection as a larger one, but I liked the way it looks.

Here's the link to all their deflectors. They have the best selection and prices.

I have the egr 3d carbon fiber deflector..it was super easy to install and it works great...havent' encountered any rocks hittin it or anything yet..but im sure if it does, it'll do it's job or you could go with xpel...it's a type of clear filim that you put on your car and it's suppose to do the same..i believe bobsr5 has some pics he can share...

Here is what the Factory one looks like in the Sport version. Cut/Paste the link into your browser address box as Geocities does not allow direct linking.

Ordered the hood protector for the sport version cuz the dealer wouldn't let me buy the other one for the reg 4Runner since I had a hood scoop. We'll see if there is any difference tomorrow when I pick it up tomorrow.

I really didn't see the big deal. I also found it cheaper at:

http://www.toyotaworld.com/accessori...protector.htm.

The dealership here in Greensboro, NC matched the price of $64.50. I'm sure all dealerships will match the price if anyone is looking for a Toyota one.

Danny

I'd go for the Egr. It will go great with the thunder cloud.
