Holes in headlight lens
Since I'm a bit of a cheap bastard, anyone have any idea what to use to plug a couple of rock chips in my headlight lens. (I have a '96 4Runner.) The holes are about the same diameter as the tip of a pencil (small). I just want to keep moisture out until I get around to buying some new lenses, but it may be a while before I do it, and I want something that will stand up to a pressure washer. Any ideas? What is the difference between the 96-98 lenses, compared to the 99+ 3rd gen? I know the grill is different, but how different are the headlights?

I used clear silicone on a small rock chip hole on my old Hellas. It lasted until I got rid of the car. The glass repair kits will work OK for chips and cracks, but probably will not fill a hole.

That's the sort of idea I was looking for. I think I'll give it a try. So, After staring at the pictures of the two different lights, I still can't tell the difference other than the lense having fewer focusing sections to it (at least I think that's what they are.) Are there any other differences dimensionally? If there are it just doesn't show well in the photos. Thanks.
