I'm pretty sure I know what I'm looking at there. It's what I can't see that has me

I can, however, answer the question quite definitively. No. There's no boost there. None whatsoever. Could be I suppose. But there isn't any boost to be had in that state of (dis)assembly. Not even close actually.

Is there some kind of point I'm missing here?

Yeah, I guess there would be huh? Mostly this:

About

Can be summarized is a few words, i grew up in the love of automotive machinery and im proud that its grown in me and will never grow out.We will do our best to grow and let the world hear our word. Our main mission is to keep you automotively entertained.

Got engine block? No, no it doesn't. Kind of cool to look at though. The adjustable sway bar is pretty neat. Is this thing meant to be a drifter?

Yeah, I got boost. Looks like you got boost as soon as you put the inter-cooler on. Very interesting truck, lets see more.

What no block under the head???

My suspicion that it is a drift truck was correct.

A truck? By what definition? Truck parts maybe. Certainly not to be used as one though.

The guy just got a Hilux body and built a tube frame chassis to stick under it so he could take it drifting. It's pretty friggin awesome.

I suppose we could call it a cab & chassis then. But even that's a stretch.

I remember back in the day I built a lowered truck. My dad and I actually took a 22re from a 1984 Celica as well as the 5 speed transmission. We took a month's worth of time and put it in my Truck. We even moved the wiring harness over with the engine. My truck was an 87 standard cab and it came with a 22r and a 4 speed. We tried a few things to make it faster but at the time there just was not an aftermarket available like there is today and no Internet to surf and find parts. Anyway, the friends that I had who had Nissan Hardbody trucks could run circles around me. Their trucks had the Z2400 Engine. That engine had 2 spark plugs per cylinder and was very powerful. I can understand wanting to use that motor. Another one of the guys I knew put a motor out of a 240sx in his truck. Toyota had just swapped the body style over 2 years before this was back in 94. Memories oh the memories I have of that project and the fun I had. The result would be a truck with an interesting set up and a life time of experience. I am a Toyota fanatic for life.
