New to this, but have been reading up these LEDs mod. I have a 99 T4R SR5. After reading a few of these postings, I found out that I need a few Neo-wedge type A (8mm) and B (10mm) LEDs.

Can someone tell me where I can find those neo-wedge LEDs? I checked out SuperBrightLeds, LEDlights, and VLEDS and can't find them. All I see are 3mm, 4mm, 5mm , T3, T4, and T5 (no type listed). Will appreciate any help I can get.

Thanks, I've heard bad things about them and their LEDs. I might give them a try.

Have anyone try to do this mod with color incandescent bulbs? I like to see how it turned out.

I've used their products for 4 years and bulbs are still working good.

I feel like I'm still confused when it comes to a complete list of what I need, seems like I have to make choices in bulb size when I just want what works best. They need to have an interactive picture of the dash then every place you click that you want the leds changed to adds that specific bulb to a master production schedule or something...haha I've been dealing with MRP too much recently

I'm thinking on changing dash (cluster) to Amber lights (more to 4th Gen style) on my 2001 4Runner. Reading all this it looks like I'd need #24, am I right?
Does anyone have any pictures of how to remove the gauge cluster?

I just did mine yesterday and those bulbs are #24 for the cluster, but I have a 99 SR5. I not 100% sure, but I think 99-02 are the same. I'm having issue getting the neo-wedge in and working on the buttons (AC, Hazard, R defroster, and R window).

Those are tight fit. Does Hazard have a bulb inside? Didn't know...Mine is dark, so may be I'll see the bulb there.
Defroster, transmission and rear window have only 2 Type A (one for window and one for transmission and defroster.

BTW, do you have any pictures or can your write a step-by-step process of getting to the bulbs in the cluster?

I'm re-doing mine with LEDs this time. I tried with reg bulbs first to see how well they turned out and I didn't like them too much. I think there will be hotspots with LEDs and that's the reason why I tried incandescent bulbs first. I will post some pictures once I'm done with the leds. I'm still waiting for them to coming in. The incandescent bulbs coat me about $20 and I just paid $40 for the LEDs. I would buy extra neo-wedge leds though cause they are a pain to install/remove. I ruined 3 of them trying to remove them.

Here are some pictures of what I have done with the reg bulbs. I used xenon super white bulbs, but it turns out to be kinda dull green. The turn signals are blue bulbs (kinda teal, unless you remove the green arrow covers). The HVAC are super white bulbs (not as bright as I wanted).

Some good place to look at as well:

Are you 100% sure they are #24's in the gauge cluster?

I've done LED's in a 1996 and they were the #194's. In my new '99 sr5, I was hoping to order before I tore the dash apart....so I want to be 100% sure they are #24's before I order them.

i want to thank you because this mod has been on the back of my mind for months and i never really got a set list of bulbs i need to know to buy, no one has done this to a 99 sr5 but thanks to you i got it all. also the 3x bulb idea helped too because i knwo the single bulbs give off hotspots.

im guessing you cant remove that , however people have colored blinkers, my guess is its a thin layer of film, or its the green condom cover on the bulbs that give it the green tint
