Fun day in Slaughterhouse gulch
Some of the Colorado crew had a good time on the trail today. 6 Yotatech members got together to run Slaughterhouse Gulch in Park County Colorado. Why its called that is a mystery to me. There is no Slaughterhouse or any kind of house... not even any ruins of any buildings like many of our trails have.
We met at around 9 AM and were done before 2 PM. There were lots of pictures taken and I hope if any are put online they will be linked by the photographer. I am uploading most of mine to Webshots. Here are a few highlites.
I'll post again when i'm done uploading, probably not tonight though.

In the first picture from left to right is my '87 turd, HaveBlue's 96 4Runner, Greg's Lexus 470 with 2 factory elecric lockers, Darren's 2002 4Runner, Mojo_Risin's 4Runner, and Sizzletits' Tacoma.
I'm still not done with the pictures, soon though.

Hey Matt....
are you running 33's? or 32's?
Man, I gotta tell y'all, I really miss living out there. I hope to one day, maybe once I am done with school, to head back out that way. Oh well, SC has its perks too

Here's my pictures on Webshots.
Someone asked about my tires. They are 32x11.5x15 Goodyear MTRs. I love them.

Looks like a great day. Pretty dry too. I didn't see any pictures of stump hill. You did go up it, and down the back side to make a loop didn't you?
John, your rig looks good with those MTR's on stock rims don't they.
I was wondering how long it would be until Darren smashed those side light's. I saw him come close on several occasions at Left Hand.

I didn't realize that hill was actually probably the "real" start to slaughterhouse gulch.
At least that's my take on it.
(oh and I do like the MTR's - but even they couldn't keep me from spinning out on some of those moguls)

They're loose enough to where they will give and will take a good blow, which they really did. Unfortuneately, the covers aren't as durable. Hehe. Funny thing is, I hit the one on the other side on the way out! Gotta love the off-camber stuff.
Matt, those pics turned out excellent. Thanks for putting them up!

I had a blast!
We have to do that again.
My pictures are on my HD at home. Won't be able to post them until I have internet access again. (Earthlink says the hardware is on the way)

I don't have a write-up yet. I can make one. Give me a week or so.
I actually installed those before I was aware of the Toyota forums (Yota tech and ODW)
I was inspired by the Lexus RX300. I liked the way the suplimental lights looked under the primary beams. I almost used the Lexus lights, but they were way too expensive and required too much modification.
I came across the PIAA 001 Solitaires in the Performance Products catalog and used the measurements they had listed against the measurements on the trim below the headlight.
Like I said, give me a few days to a week and I'll e-mail a write-up to you.

I'm thinking of putting together a run in April, May or June up to Mosquito Pass. It depends on the snowfall between now and then. I figured I'd call my uncle in Fairplay to see how the snowpack is up there.
