Fog Lamps

I am new to this forum. I just purchased a 2001 SR5 4wd 4runner and I am looking for fog lamps that would look stock but I do not want to pay $300 per lamp and mounting assembly. Does anyone have recomendations?

Has anyone mounted Hella 550's in the valence? It would take some custom mounts but I think it would look good. Any thoughts?

Search the forum for Wild_Bill's truck - he's got 550s in the valence. They look to be slightly bigger than the stock lights, but look good.

Once upon a time, I had a set of Pilot lights in the stock valence. Fit well and worked well, were cheap, but didn't hold up well.

Ahhhh I knew someone had them. Thanks!

Here's the pic from Wild_Bill 's webpage

I think They work well down there, although I would have 550's be fog and the PIAA's be driving.

Thanks

Thanks for the responses. I saw somewhere that toyota uses the Hella Micro DE for stock lights. Is this correct, and also has anyone had experience installing fog lights as stock in a 4runner that did not originally come with fog lights.
TIA

Do a search on here and also on ebay for used sets. Usually go for $100- $150. You'll need a $10 switch from the dealer and they'll be plug-and-play.
