Finally Got My Rig Back **Pics inside**

Well after a month of hassling and waiting on parts the rig is finally back in my possesion after the famous "my truck got smashed" post. So here is the rundown of what all happened: Had to hassle with insurance company because they were only giving my $600 for the bumper and then I threatened to sue and presented them with an invoice from Steve Schaefer (Thanks again Steve). They quickly cooperated with me after that. New bumper, grill, hood, headlights, and corners and new driver's side fender were all the repairs. I got the 2002 sport grill and added the black headlights for good measure (thanks for the link Fuzion). Looks like I made enough from college graduation and this incident to finally put my locker and gears in, as well as a winch and new leather seats. I'll also be upgrading my foglights soon too, but I had to put the 500's on there to at least fill the void. Anyway on to the pics.

Yeah in hindsight I should have made them give me more compensation for all the hell that I had to go through to get this thing fixed. I was trying to fix my truck and study for exams, preparing for gradution, planning my trip to Cali and Vegas and working all at the same time. Last month was utter hell, I've never been so strung out in my life. But oh well, i guess it's all good now. Anyway let me know what you think guys.

Looks great! Do you have any pics of the TJM mounting bracket after the crash? I was a little disappointed the way it folded up, I know it hit a brick wall Maybe the newer TJMs a built in crumple feature?

I will as soon as I can get a trailer to go pick the bumper up from the body shop. The bumper itself all in all is fine except for a small dent behind the bumperette. The brackets did fold up and to the right, but with the speed he had gathered in that short distance and the damage he did to the wall, I think the bumper held up great. At least I didn't have a busted radiator or any other engine damage, that could have totaled the truck. All the damage was purely cosmetic and now i have all new Toyota OEM replacements.

Actually the interior will be getting done in probably about two weeks, and the locker and gears should be going on soon after that. And thanks for the congrats, now I gotta get a job in the real world...haha.
