93 runner build

Hey, so i just bought a '93 3vze auto 4x4
looking for some advise on a good setup for a DD and Trail rig. Looking to do some medium to heavy off road. It already has a set of American Racing rims and a set of BF allterrains of it now. Everything runs nice. It does have a few hiccups though.

Beyond 45mph it has a slight wheel rub sounding noise comming from underneath the driver side.
She has a slight low idle around 500rpm at temp.( will be adjusting the throttle screw today at some point.see if that does the trick.)
And from what i feel on up hills the tranny seems to slip at highway speeds. not in low gear. under 20mph
minor body rust nothing bad..

I already have some things in mind a full brake job (getting done this week) as well as a full OME suspension with a set of 33" allterrain T/A KO2.

Before i get into the lift is there anything I should check for ware / get replaced before going with the lift and larger tires.

thanks in advance for the info
