Exhaust problem

Hey guys, new member here. This morning on my way to work going up a gradual grade I heard my exhaust note change from nice and quiet to nascar loud when I accelerate.

I did a quick look after I got to work and nothing seemed out of the ordinary, until I saw a piece that looks like it should have two bolts through it. It was left of the exhaust pipes when looking under the vehicle from the passenger side.

Any ideas on what could have caused this, and what a fix would be?

The car runs fine, just real loud now like there is no baffle on the exhaust.

Any help would be appreciated, Thanks!!

is it the exaust flange that goes from the cat to the muffler. or if its nascar loud its probibly the flange that goes from the end of the header to the cat. had mine strait pipeed off the motor and it was LOUD

mine did the same thing i cut the cat and had to put new bolts in and one fell out so it was strait. but there is a gasket inbetween the flanges and if you lose it exaust will leak out and wont be as quiet as before
