death of a power window module

does anyone know if there is a way to bypass a broken power window module, or if a new one is absolutely necessary? Im in a 91 4runnner, and the only way to get the back hatch open is by rolling down the back window, but my module is broken and it seems rediculously expensive to replace it. Any ideas? thanks.

And if that doesn't work check with the guy who started this thread, maybe the control module is still in the Runner he found
