Daytime lights/ HID conversion kit

Hi Fellow runners,
Got a question about daytime running lights and HID conversion... I got a 2002 4runner and want to get a HID conversoin kit.. I see a whole bunch of them on ebay.. i'm still researching which are the better+reliable one's out there... They mentioned if my car has daytime running lights.. i should turn them off..
Any clues to how to turn them off.. i agree its a good safety, but just curious.

Oh, if you have recommendation on some of ebay's hid kits.. do advise.

Appreciated!!

A lot of those kits are junk...made in Korea...

Many of us on other boards have gone through them...the ballasts and bulbs are crap.

My bud, Dan @ supremepowerparts.com sold quality kits. If you contact him, tell him Vtec_Killer from AW sent you!

www.MeccaTune.com

They don't sell from their site I don't think. Picked mine up at a local car place.

If you peel off their stickers on the ballasts, they're really Hella ballasts (at least on mine).
Not high/low beam though. $300-$350 for the kit with wires.

20 minutes to hook up if that.

Some may say they are crap, but they sure are 100 times better than the stock crap and Silverstars.

I can also vouch for MeccaTune HIDs. I have their HID kit on my 93 RX7 and it's been problem free well over a year now.
