Changing brake pad question
This is something I would love to attempt, but before I dive into my information gathering via yotatech.com write-ups I was wondering,
1. When you take off your tire/s and then later reattach it how do you know it is alligned properly? And does this question even make sense?
Thanks fellas and gals,
Drew

ok so then another total NOOB question along the same line, from a 30 yr old.
1. So whenever I take off my tires, be it for rotation, spare tire, brake pads, etc. & I put them back on they will be on as straight as before?
Please bear with me, I don't understand how they can be straight and not off by some margin. I just took them off. Doesn't that misallign them? (as you can see I know nothing about allignment)
LOL sry fellas... shoot the noob.

How I make sure my wheels go back on evenly is to use a torque wrench, and go around the lug patterns opposite lugs 1 by 1, eventually all 6 lugs. The torque wrench applies the same amount of torque to each lug, ensuring the wheel is on evenly. This step is very important in my opinion. I always retorque my lugs once I get home after a shop takes them off, shops rarely take the time to torque the lugs evenly.

No offense, bu I suggest you take someone that knows cars with you whenever you take your car in for ANY work. You probably WON'T need someone just to get gas, but watch yourself...
