Exclamation Almost Dead and need opinions!!!

Background:
I just rebuilt my engine last summer.
Oil has always needed attention (topping off) since the rebuild, though I have been running Mobil 1.
Recently a leaking air sound has become loud around my crossover on the 3VZE exhaust manifold.

Today:
I am gimping to work (30 mile drive on the freeway) and after exiting the freeway, a knocking sound is prevalent and it wont maintain idle (dies). I don't think I can make it home in its current condition and probably shouldn't even start it anyways.

What I am thinking:
Possibly the air thing is really head gasket or lose head bolts.
I possibly burnt out #6 exhaust valve again.
(anyone have any other ideas?)

What I would like to do:
Find a way to claim my full coverage on the thing.
Find a way to just do the swap to 3.4. (no money)

What is probably going to happen:
Buy a $500 POS car to get me to work and back while I fix this rig back up.
Sell my truck for chump change (being its current condition) and buy another vehicle that I can deal with that is one step up from the POS mentioned.

OK... How much would anyone be willing to give me for it in its current condition?

I think it is time for me to cash it in for a POS car uintil I can afford something better.

Check the air tube from the AFM to the TB. If it isn't sealed it won't run right.

Well...it ran crappy, it knocked, it did a quick clank. Then all was silent. Not sure if I'm done with my 4Runner or not....

If possible pull the computer codes ... sensors could help diagnosis some possible problems. Don't fret and especially don't give up!

Just be systematic in your troubleshooting. Start with the basics ...

Air
Fuel
Ignition

It could be poor timing , manifold gasket leaking, EGR system failure or a combination of things.

Keep good notes!
