2nd gen key fob
Does anybody know how to program a 2nd gen key fob? I tried everything I found in seaching this site but nothing has worked. I have 2 new fobs and the dealership wants $70 to reprogram each fob. Thanks for any help.

Thanks 94x4 for your input but I know what I've already done. Found a bunch of great info on 3rd gens that didn't work on my 2nd gen. I don't have any buttons, green or otherwise, on the controler, nothing under the drivers seat, and my neighbors did look at me funny as I locked and unlocked my doors for hours. So I'm still looking for some helpfull info.

I'll make my first post by hopefully helping someone
2nd Gen factory alarm reprogram.
Step 1: Turn ignition to the ON Position.
Step 2: Turn Valet on, the off - Once. The horn may sound. The system is resetting itself.
Step 3: Turn ignition off then on.
Step 4: Turn the valet switch On and Off 4 times - the horn will sound 4 times.
Step 5: Push the button on any transmitter. Horn will sound once.
Step 6: Turn the Valet switch on then off - Once. The horn will sound 5 times indicating all transmitters are erased from the system's memory.
Step 7: Push the button on the transmitter you want to keep. Horn will sound once.
Step 8: Repeat Step 7 on any other remotes (max of 4).
Step 9: Exit programing mode by turning ignition off
Step 10: Verify operation.
Now, can someone tell me where to buy a transmitter so I can see if this works

You can thank the previous owner for having the alarm manual w/programming addendum and the dealership for not giving me the remote
I just happened to have it on the desk and was doing a search (he says as people read in disbelief) for the remote part number.
And now I have the part number I need and link to find 'em cheap
