The hood latch has been broke on the truck for a while now and ya have to slam the hell out of it for the latch to work. So last night I installed some hood pins to fix my problem. They look pretty friggin good. Didnt have my camera for the install cuz my mother is in AZ with it. I will post some pics of the finished product as soon as I get my camera back.

aw man, you should have said something. i had the same problem. the latch wasn't broken, it had just slid down. there are two bolts that hold the latch on the frame. just loosen those, slide the latch assembly up, then re-tighten. it was a moment of triumph when i figured it out

I should have known that it was something easy to fix. But the hood pins do look pretty bad ass now that they are there.

those pins do look pretty dam good. now you just need something to lock that hood down, so nobody steals your battery or other sweet mods. i've seen it happen. maybe just a hook and cable to the cab?

Im gonna run a chain from the old hood latch on the hood to somewhere prolly on the frame with a pad lock.

They are awesome. Very comfortable seats. Definitly couldnt skimp on comfort any longer.

or you could still fix the latch and keep the pins. that way you wouldn't need another key on your key ring

I cut a hole in the stereo mount thingy where the cubby used to be.

Then I slid the CB into the hole I cut.

Then I used this fuse block for the power. I ran the wires through an existing hole in the firewall

Up next is the motor. Ive found a used one for 700 at one of the local yards. Hes put a new timing set, new bearings and says its got 150 compression. I will prolly pull the old one today and pick up the used one tomorrow.
While Ive got it in the shop, I will be replacing the rear wheel cylinders, cranking up the torsion bars, puttin some Early Bronco leafs in the rear and a U bolt flip.

Just did a compression test on my existing engine.
1st cyl: 100 psi
2nd cyl: 90psi
3rd cyl: 50 psi
4th cyl: Didnt even bother

700 is a lot for a used motor... i bought a used 3rz for 200 and i had people tellin me that i was crazy...
