I forgot about cheaper than dirt. $11 bucks are about what they go for these days. I can remember when when they were $5 a piece. (I grew up at doing the gun shows and still do them)

Update on the '87. The whips mounted, CB installed and wired up to the battery. Pics to follow some time today.

Newest Pics

Here are the pics of the antennas, CB, Cb wiring, and the speaker box 'tween the seats.

Side view of truck. See the antennas?

The new CB mic. location

Antennas again

Mounted and Wired

I'm thinkin about sanding the mounts and springs down and painting them black

The fuseable link for the CB straight to the battery

Moved the CB away from the driver door. It was in the way of the window crank.

Box installed

those are 102" whips. do you have both of them hooked up cause pretty sure those will interfere with each other? lol

102" is correct. Only one is hooked up, I may hook the other to the radio antenna if it works. My stock one gets sucky reception.

They are huge, everybody is dumbfounded by how long they are.

Thanks, the seats are not bolted down quite yet. I still have to fab up some brackets. Plus I have to swap the driver seat out cuz my dad hates the one I have in it. He likes to drive with the worn out POS Bronco seat.

Yeah, I was at almost 14,000 Feet. It was pretty cool talking to someone in Cali from here. The truck gets between 23 and 25.

That might be part of the problem, the bad compression and the half of a spark plug. What is the compression?

I know how that is. Mine is my DD and fits the only truck we have running right now. My dad's 85 is going through an engine rebuild and his F350 needs a power steering line, a brake proportioning valve and it has a pinhole coolant leak. So needless to say, I can't have mine torn apart for a while either.
