Stumpy the yota

I just realized I never did a build thread on my junk. I remember when I bought the truck I looked for ever at pics and ideas to add to my own rig. I thought I would share.

Well I thought to myself ,What could a tired 22re motor need ? Yep, a set of 35" boggers

I custom cut them for better traction.

I wheeled it like this for a bit . Old man emu torsion bars and springs and a 4 crawler bj lift . The IFS did not like the 35"s so I did the IFS eliminator front and rear matching lift 4" springs, and some Dirty 30's Huge improvement! A little tall , but it rocked offroad and rode really nice and soft on the road.

I wanted new shoes for it so I went big ! 39.5 Pitbull Rockers

They needed some beadlocks so I went with Trailworthy Fab recentered H1's. By the way these are the cheese!!!!! I can air down to 0psi if I want. I cut the living daylights out of the fender areas and firewall and finished it off . I also added some tubing to the fender areas for added protection.

The dual cases allow you to crawl in a lower gear. It makes my truck able to have power and not kill my clutch. Excellent mod to do !

They are. I cannot say enough good things about them ! They fit like oem and give the seats a nice cushion. They also look great! A little pricey but well worth it!

I was thinking it would be cool to use the piece I cut for the 1/2 doors and make them whole again. I welded 1/4" rod to perimeter of the insert (after trimming 1/4" off the entire cut for clearance) . Then I welded 2. 1/4" rods for locating pins . I drilled matching holes in door and used plastic snap grommets The top will have a spring loaded lever to pop them into place. I will make some jeep style vinyl window inserts for the top and hopefully I will have convertible doors.

Here is my truck next to a buddy of mines Tacoma on 31"s. His truck is sick! It's a long travel with a bed cage ,supercharged 3.4 with bypass fox shocks all the way around. It is a dune screamer and excellent Offroad . He cant follow me through the rocks but pretty much everywhere else! Mine not as tall as you think . I still easily fit thru a standard garage door.

I finished the door inserts by fiberglassing the handle opening and keyhole. Then used some duraglass filler for the next layer and finished it off with some rage gold filler . Sanded it all smooth and primed and painted them. They turned out great.

I also was worrying about my motor mounts breaking so I welded some chain for some insurance.
