Sorry about the fuzzy pic, I guess I should have had my coffee before taking it. The front of the window insert slides in a awning rail so it is super sturdy and watertight.

Wow man! Don't even know where to begin. That thing looks awesome! I love the door/window setup. Seriously does look like factory.

Thanks ! I don't like the sliver snaps ,buy soon they are all black. I need to clean this beast out. The last time I used it I was topless and in deep mud,so it's a little chunky inside

I should take a picture of the interior ,it's kinda funny . I sprayed the hose in it to clean it out last fall ,but now that I look at it It's just filthy !. I don't usually do mud but I was there so I went for it . I should have folded the rear seats down ,but nooooo. I just left them up and now it is caked on.

Haha. That's too funny. I don't care too much for mud either. Growing up in Pennsylvania and always having mud on the trucks, dirt bikes, quads, etc... You find out quickly that its very hard on everything. Plus I HATE cleaning mud out from underneath a vehicle!

Every time I look at your runner, it makes me want to take a sawzall to the top and back of mine. Haha

It's been a while since I posted the constant change to my runner. Here are some things that have changed .

The truck was a little bland so I painted it bright zombie brain splatter green

I was a bit hesitant to add a locker to the front. The truck did so well even with a open front I liked the challenge . But I went to a park that showed me it's weaknesses and I pulled the front diff and steering box.

I used the camo method to pull the diff ,it worked great .

I can't find the pictures of the steering box tapping for the hydro assist but I used the video on YouTube and followed that and it worked perfectly. Here is the final result.

The hydro assist is a trail gear kit ,it worked out great!

I did run a cooler in front of the radiator it's not huge but so far is keeping up. I also drilled out the restrictor in the stock p/s pump to 13/64ths and this sped up the steering a lot . I chose a spartan locker up front ,I have heard good things from these we will see I guess. So far the steering is great 2 fingers and the locker is amazing ! I am finding that I just walk through obstacles that were hard before.

So overall I am really happy with the locker and being able to steer easily now is great . On my list next is

Looks good. You just made me want a 1st gen 4runner bad lol. I like how they looked bobbed. I guess I could always do a body swap one day.

Im ready to see the 4.3 swap get started.

I have to say ,the bob on the back was one of the biggest improvements I have made ! You don't realize how much you get hung up on stuff till it's gone . I really enjoy this truck . It gets a ton of attention everywhere I go because it's not a jeep . I think it's funny how many jeeps I wheel with ,and they always tell me how great their jeep does Offroad . Then we go someplace and they struggle or break on things that are insanely easy in this . I don't know why Toyotas do as well as they do but I am glad I chose this instead of the 4dr wrangler . I have less in this truck than a bone stock rubicon TJ goes for around here. I have a friend who has around 60 k in a TJ that is about the same in performance. except for the motor!

By the way bump530 . I wheeled with a guy a few weeks ago that has a 1st gen runner that swapped a body like yours on it . He kicked my butt with 38" tires on most obstacles . Apparently the driver makes a big difference He told me 6 of the body mounts were exactly the same ! it was pretty much a bolt on mod ! He destroyed his body and had someone give him the 2gen body . So if you could find a 1st gen body it would be fairly easy to swap. Or you could do a top cut back bob mod like I have seen on your style and that looks even cooler than the 1st gens . A guy called mossy rocks did a really cool looking one .

Yeah I figured it would be mostly bolt on, but Im not afraid of a little modding to make it work. I am currently in the middle of doing a SAS, rear leaf swap, and 4.3 swap to mine. I like the 1st gen because of the removable top, but the 2 extra doors on mine are nice too lol.

Im pretty sure I looked at mossy rocks build the other day. His did turn out pretty sweet.

My brakes have kind of sucked lately, so I am going to replace the master cylinder with this one from a fj80 its a 1" bore so it should rock ! I got this one off trail gear's site , it wasn't too pricey and stopping is at the top of my list of things to do good!
