I am stockpiling parts for a 4.3 CPI swap. So far I have a complete blazer with engine ,AA adapter for toy 5spd trans , AA clutch system. I need motor mounts, a Howell wire harness , radiator and some headers. It's gonna be a while till I put this in , I am gonna wait till I either blow up the 22re or have all the parts.

I seamed the top together with fiberglass and sanded everything down. Sprayed high solids primer on and sanded that down . Then basecoat and clearcoat I am going to have to sand and buff this tomorrow cause of a big run but it should look sweet when I'm done. After I wet sand it with 1500 grit and rub and buff it I will tape off the window openings and shoot some black so they look factory. Then I will cut the corner windows out of lexan and bend them with a heat gun. I am going to try to just fill the window tray with black silcone and set the windows in . Without any screws. We will see if that works!

The top all painted

I have dual stock cases, 5.29 in the diffs. I am eventually thinking of 4.7rear case but I am going to do a 4.3 vortec so with the extra power I don't know if I will need the 4.7 case. I have a spool in the rear and still open front .

very nice, with a 4.7 rear it wont matter if you had a v12 engine it wont go any faster or slower in gear, how do you like the 39s with 5.29s? guessing not much seeing as your swapping in a vortec

Actually it is fine . I just want more power ! I am going to wait to put the 4.3 in till the end of this season,or my 22re blows up . I hope my motor lasts the season . I will probably do the 4.7 crawl box eventually but I'm still pretty low in my lowest gear .

Well I'm finally finishing the top. I traced out my window openings and cut out some 1/8" lexan and used a heat gun to bend it. I have never seen anyone use the factory trim for their windows so I thought "why not try it"

Step one break original window

I cleaned up the glass from the tracks

The spacers and original mounting holes slide in a track I cut the track down on the top and bottom piece only

I assembled the track and slid the lexan into the tracks . It fits like the original window did! I siliconed the back like factory did and let it dry. After the windows dried I filled the window tray with silicone and bolted the window into place.

Looks like factory now!

It's not perfect but it's close to factory looking instead of no trim like all the others I have seen.

I cut 12 " out of the top ! It looks factory again.

I finally finished my top and had someone make the door inserts. I am going to paint the snaps flat black but other than that I am very happy with how it turned out. It looks like a factory top and the doors have a cool look to them . I wont be using the Top or the doors much but for those days when the weather is bad I am going to like it.
