It had been snowing the past week and It snowed overnight. When we went up the slope, it felt around a foot of fresh powder on top of harder layer. So fluffy we could not even slide to practice mountaineering techniques.

Zuk Mod Updates - For Easy Reference

I did My Zuk Mod in 2012... Using 12-INCH, 125-Pound/Inch Black Magic Springs.

Before the Mod, Top of Leaf Pack from Frame was 7.75 inches.
After the mod (As of 22Mar2013), top of leaf pack was 9.25 inches
Since then, I have removed 25 pounds of the heavy particle board bottom of the rear deck, and 30 pounds of the rear seat bottoms.

AS OF 15 FEBRUARY 2019:

Top of Left Leaf pack approx 10 inches from frame

Love the wheel specs on the fenders, great idea! What device did you use to print out the transparent text? I should probably invest in a label maker, I could see doing this in a lot of places that need routine maintenance.

I use Brother P-Touch labeler - reasonable price. The tape is very durable - altho a little pricey. I also use it to label my wires. The one I've got does not work with Mac so I use it with my wife's laptop.

Transfer Case Mount Screw Cross-Threaded

I found one of the 4 bolts securing the transfer case to the mount cross-threaded, so it was not completely tightened.

I got a $17 tap and die set at Harbor Freight and cleaned the threads both on the bolt and the transfer case block. Tightened OK by hand. I haven't checked torque, yet for fear of stripping it. I may just apply Loctite Threadloc on it.

Would it have been possible for the shop that rebuilt my transmission to remove and re-install the transmission without touching the transfer case mount?

I also noticed a gap between mount metal and the cross-member (pictured below). Do you folks think it's normal?

I think the space may be normal but it looks like the tranny mount is done anyhow, the crack. Check to see if the rubber is connected anymore. I found mine to be cracked and seporated. New one from NAPA is on the way

If thread lock doesn't work out try some JB weld and tap it again but I think you should be good.

I've always left the mount attached to the trans and just removed the crossbar when doing clutches etc, so it's definitely possible to leave those bolts untouched. Seems like thy'd take them out for a full rebuild though. What went wrong with the trans to require a rebuild anyway, and at how many miles?

Gap looks normal and mount looks better than the ones that I just replaced, only because I had the engine out. They were still mostly adhered to the metal. You could try prying up on the trans off the crossbar and see if it separates but I bet it's still ok.
