Its nice to get that tax refund, comes in real handy when you need some parts for the yota!

I always wanted to get some KM2'S, I hadn't seen those Dick Cepek Extreme Country tires before, had to Google them, they look pretty agressive as well.

I might actually prefer the look of the DCs. I don't know we will see how hard they are to get around here. The place down the street carrys or can get the KM2s in whatever size I want.

Im also trying to decide if I want to fix my 93 xtra cab with the 3.0 or not. Kinda thinking I might let it go but haven't really made up my mind yet. It doesn't have any rust frame or body is the main reason I want to keep it but the motor needs a ton of work.

I have not tried 33's on a truck so not sure if it would clear. Did you get your hard start issue worked out? I would suspect the connector to the injector or the crimp in the harness to be at fault before the injector. The 85-87 injector connector is a poor design. I replace mine from fastconnectors.com

I don't know the 3.0 but those extended cabs are hard to find. Great riding trucks. I really miss my old one at times.

Yeah I think I got the hard start figured out, to be honest though im not sure I haven't driven it in so long. Ill check that today and see what it does.
Yeah the extra cab with no rust on it is the main reason im having a hard time deciding whether to let it go or not. I want to fix the 4runner moreso than the truck but also know that the body will be hard to find without rust on it.

Well, actually the clutch and transmission is complete. One of my buddies just called and said he didn't have anything going on so he went over and finished it. Said its back to shifting like it supposed to.
Now tomorrow if I feel up to it I am gonna do the rotors and calipers on the front. Never done the manual hub removal before so it could take a while. Only one way to learn I guess.

I don't have any pictures from today, but got the rotors and calipers changed. My drivers side caliper was leaking and apparently had been stuck before I got it because my rotor was completely screwed up which I knew going into the project; I just didn't know how bad it was. There might have been a 1/16th of rotor left and the outer edges were crumbling. Another 50 or 60 miles and it could of been bad.

That is all of the rust on this 4runner from when I got it from the previous owner. Really not too bad compared to others I have seen, but still enough that it will take some work to get it done.

Your exhaust looks good, where did you get the stock replacement from? Look forward to seeing the rust repair, body work isn't my favorite thing to do, but I have some body work ahead of me too.

Its not oem, but its to exact stock specs. Its made by walker and sold by carquest. It wont stay on there forever, but I had to do something to get it to pass inspection. It was 144$ from carquest.
Yeah I hate body work, cant stand it.

Here is a fix for your high beam issue https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f199...l#post51724567

Rust doesnt look to bad on your truck. It is a little bigger then what you can see so you will want to go a little bigger then that in your repair. On your front fenders, make sure the fender tabs that hold your inner fender are good, I have scrapped good fenders just because the tabs were rotted away.

Yeah im thinking about just getting new front fenders just because. Then I wouldn't have to worry about getting down to good metal. I am thinking about changing the color of this truck anyway so if I get the black primered fenders it wont really hurt anything.
Thanks Terry for the link to the high beam fix. I have been through your builds numerous times and there is much to be learned in your builds.

well the 4runner didn't pass inspection due to an exhaust leak that developed in front of the catalytic converter. I got all of that done and in today, and she will be getting inspected tomorrow.

The 4runner is back on the road legally, and today I got some other projects done. I forgot to take pictures today, but ill get some tomorrow. I am a guy that cant stand riding down the road without music. I put in a new head unit and new speakers today. Debating on if I want to do some kind of roll bar speaker to accent it or not, but for now the two sets will work.

Thanks to your Picture and info on the exhaust, I decided to pick up the same thing for my 4Runner. I was actually surprised at the quality from Walker on it. Very well put together.

Thanks!!

No problem. oh yeah, it definitely made a big difference. the fact that it was the direct fit was the selling point for me. I like mine being quiet and sounding stock which is exactly what that exhaust achieved.
