Well I just had the 3.0 rebuilt... the way i see the 3.4 right now is if I come across a doner rig, i'll pick it up. pull everything i need, and part the rest out, no questions asked...

I'll decide whats a more efficient mod based off my camping trips... what I REALLY need NOW...

and that is...

exactly man! can you imagine my rig with a low SAS like that, with the TJM, and it removing all the IFS and the budbuilt? everything is just so much simpler...

i think it looks cool, but i still am a firm believer that LT is a better way to go for expeditions... i mean, can you bomb down a rutted dirt road (safely) in an SAS'd rig? not really...

but, like i always tell you, its your rig, you do what YOU want... just take our advice with a grain of salt, a lime wedge, and some tequilla...

haha dont worry, im not blowing you guys off at all... I just always pictured myself with a Long travel truck and an SAS'd 4Runner expedition built. If i keep it low I can keep DDing it as well!

Troy, lets put it this way, if i had your rig. I'd put LT on it with 64" deavers in the rear single cab tacoma's rip it up out at pismo.

So after talking with the owner of that truck i previously linked. Here's what I've learned from him so far.

I think I would like to keep the rear factory linked for road worthiness... I know that LC rear suspension can be used on the 4runner rear suspension. It also already has a functional sway bar. and in the end its just a cheaper decision. So now I need to do a little more research, but im thinking the LC 860 coils and matching shocks. the 860s are the LOWEST LC coil that offers slight lift.

Also, Has anyone ever experimented with the idea of a coil sprung / shock 3 link SAS? Im wondering if I could use 860 LC coils, with the ruffstuff coil spring plates on a front axle with a 3 link fit also from ruff stuff with a shock next to the coil. It would be almost identical to a FJ80 front set up, but without radius arms.
