Now that I've done that, I would say don't worry about painting the rig until everything else is done. Or at least everything but the bumpers. But getting the lift and drivetrain squared away will be easier without having to worry about scratching the new paint ya know? ..I made that mistake, though when I painted my truck, i was only interested in a restoration kind of project, but now I have all kinds of plans for it, so It'll be going back to the paint shop once thats all done.

Speaking of lift ideas...Anyone know if Blazeland is still selling the Long Travel kit? O.o

Not sure about which direction to go. Depends on how bad you need the garage. Alot of what controls the directon I go is of course monneyyy. Which is the big hold up on most projects.

You got the engine bay painted. I would be tempted to put the rest together so as you can move it around. It might be extra work, but upgrading the Master Cylinder isnt to bad to get back out later when you do get the funds to replace it. You can use it til those parts or funds come around.

Im not a lot of help as far as lifts and dual transfers, but what I have read they can be done with everything still in for the most part.

I think if you get it driving and do one upgrade at a time, you can enjoy it and at the same time you drive it you can see the difference of each upgrade.

I dont think what really matters though as long as you keep wrenching on it, like Chef said. One day it will all come togehter.

thanks terry you and I have discussed this befor as have I with others, and the one commen with everybody has been "just get it running first" so that is my plan, after haveing started doing some priceing on just the things I need for that it could be awhile, Im hopeing to at least get what I need to set the engine back in for me that would be a huge step foward. I will be seeking your help soon for what we talked about, everything is cleaned up and ready so maybe next time Im home.

Just holler when you are ready. Just getting it running I think will be a big boost to you. That pricing things can get scary and can slow down things.

If I had an endless budget and time, it would be nice to tear things down and upgrade on the way back up. But in the real world here. I have to aquire the parts then do it.

Have a safe trip and will be looking forward to helping.

Yea this time and $ thing can be a real bummer funny how plans change when the real cost of things starts to become a factor. I'll get it just gonna be smaller steps than I had hoped.

hey man just wanted to stop in and see how things was going money will always get in the way but the nice thing about a project like you are doing is there is always something to do that doesn't cost as much or its free except for time keep your head up you have done a great job at what you have done just remember its not a race its a build up and the only way to win is to be truly happy with the end result

@Jason

Oh, and I'll have to hit you up for some tips on doing my own paint job sometime, I seriously have no experience in it, and if my project truck rusts through the paint like my daily driver did after I bought it I will honestly shoot myself. Maybe just in the toe or something because I'm semi young and plan on seeing grandkids in my truck someday, but yeah, all drama aside I'm really worried I'll screw it up.
