Oh, I'm just trying to get some R12(I have some in's, just have to decide, both are LONG drives, lol.). Then hope and pray everything still works, lol. At least I know it holds vacuum, eh? hahahaa.

Hey, just out of curiosity, ....do you go through Texas, and could you pick up something for me and have me meet you in LA? (to expensive to ship thing)... ? hahahaha.

Hope you're doing well, Jason! How's the FAM?

Your body work looks great Jason, I really need to get motivated to finish fixing mine, body work is one aspect of fixing up an old truck that I do NOT enjoy, lol. Good luck getting your truck back together. I am looking forward to you getting into the mechanical stuff so maybe I could be of some help to you.

Have a safe trip getting home. Looking forward to pics of your bodywork. I just started on mine and doing a friends fender. I always wished I had gotten into it earlier. Its a slow process for me and hopefully someday I will get quicker at it. I like seeing builds that have body work involved. It is definitely something that takes patience.

thanks terry. Im realy proud of the body work Ive gotten Ive gotten alot of advice from a good freind that was a body man in a past life lol he realy knows his stuff and has guided me as best he can. That being saidnot much of an update this time, life hit while I was home and I got no work done on the runner this time at home. One draw back to my job is not being able to keep up with the day to day things and then it piles up[the lawn needs mowed, crap the mower wont start, turn on the a/c in the house it dont work, the kids car needs a brake job and oil change, etc etc] realy let down about the way things went but I will hit it hard next time home good luck with yalls builds and thanks for checkin in.

lol...Sounds like my life only mine is the tiller and a few hundred other things.

I will be getting some tips off of you on body work. I actually enjoy it, it does take patience. Watching a pro makes it look easy. Im not setting any speed records with my bodywork, but I do get compliments on it. If I was doing it for a living, I would of starved to death already.

If you know of any tips or tricks, let me know. One I learned off of a car show on TV, is to use a razor blade for filling small chips.

Have a safe trip. Where you going this time?

We had a nice visit got cut short, funny story about that. Anyway to the reason I am posting this he gave me a SR 5 gauge cluster sweet, a pair of tail light lenses cool, but the best part is the food awwwsome LOL. Looking forward to my next round of home time maybe I will be able to get a lot done hopefully. Thanks for checkin in.

Looking good man keep it up I like you're bumper might be a little late but I do like it also think it would be cool if you brought it around the side of the truck

yep yep i am full of them

so i am going to try and explain it best i can may get on paint tomorrow and see if i can draw it but here it goes if you cut the end at a 45degree angle and then cut another piece at a 45 and ta da you have the 90 degree angle at the corner of the truck also if you didn't want it to have a sharp corner you could cut you're 1st 45 a little further back and then weld a short piece of you're square tube to it and then weld the last piece with a 45 to make the corner less sharp and more of a angled look dont know if that makes sence or not but i will try and draw it for you so you can see what i am thinking

did it tonight

Glad to hear you at a good time with Chef. He seems like he would be really great guy to meet. Seems like when I am on his thread, I always wind up in the kitchen. Somebody using their talents and skills sure make it look easy. No matter how hard I try, my cooking just doesnt turn out well.

The guages will be nice. I have always added the extra guages as lights are usually to late when something goes wrong. These are normally plug and play. Just make sure you get the sending unit for the oil guage. It is about $30 from Oriellys.

Maybe you can get some time when you get home, will be looking forward to your project.
