I dig the headliner Mark, I am about to put the Can-Back on for the year, and plan to do something similar to the hard top.

+1 on headliner. I bet it does a better sound-proofing job, too.

Making the cut out for the headliner is not the problem, its more difficult, by far, removing the original Toyota adhesive residue. But even that came right off with a razor scraper. I will do a write up on how to do this, & I have to say, it's very simple now that I've done it. And, I think it looks great. I'm not sure but, but I've never seen it done before, so I guess it's on Chefyota4x4's original recipe! Lol

Hahaha. That place has the best freaking burgers, Robb! ..... And yes, I had quite the learning experience with the adhesive. But I got it figured out. Phone is very particular in what it wants to work with. And all those different types of phone, there are so many different Chemical compounds involved and so forth. I'm going to post a video shortly explaining what I did but it works really well. Not a bad headliner for 20 bucks + 12 bucks for adhesive!

The two extra wires from the connector are simply for switch illumination...

My write-up's here.

Greetings from finish line of the 14th Philippine Hobie Challenge!
As I said in the video,.... THANKS AGAIN, BROTHER! You've helped me more than you know!

Finally took some time to get this on because we were expecting rain and I had to redo the headliner and I'm about to do the roof rack install on this fresh new-to-me shell.

Redid the shell headliner, using 3M-90, after stripping it down completely, what I had put on there, using acetone and then denatured alcohol.....

I thought I sent a text to you yesterday and it went to Drafts, Doh!!! I am planning on doing my top as well and will be following your lead. Mine will be later this summer. I like the Toy Top, would be so nice to have one and I will eventually. Getting caught in the rain is for the birds. 3M makes some great products but is nasty to remove if you goof up.

Nice work on the headliner, it looks really good! I really like the soft top, I want to get one of those BAD!!! The weather up here is to unpredictable in the spring and early summer, I got caught in the rain a couple times last year running without the top, it's no fun, lol.

Hey Mark, I was wondering if you could do me a favor (when you have the time). I was wondering if I could get your front and rear clearance measurements between the tire or rim and the fender well. I'm planning on getting AllPro's rear lift kit for my 4runner, and am unsure whether to go with their 5" or 6" lift. Right now mine sits lower in the rear and I want it to be level. The clearance measurement on the front of mine is aprox 20-1/4" from the lip of the wheel/rim to the lip of the fender (or 10-1/2" from the top of the tire to the lip of the fender).Sorry if you already posted this info and I missed it! Again, there's no hurry, I know your busy, it will probably be a month or so before I'm ready to place an order, I just want to make sure I get the spring height right the first time, thanks buddy!

Wow, that means a lot man! I hope you enjoy it. As far as the top, it is nice. As far as that 3M-90 stuff that they make? Holy crap dude! Absolutely 100 percent unforgiving!

Hey buddy, you can get the same stuff at Sears or few other local places. I'm not positive, but I'm pretty sure they are all the same molding. However, I can only a test to the just right thickness of this one from pepboys, and the fact that its stuck incredibly well using the 3M 90 onto a very clean and scarred fiberglass shell.

Hey guys, I need a huge favor! I am looking for someone 2 send me a mint picture of the under hood decals. I don't want the star station getting weird with me because I'm missing those stickers. They describe the entire vacuum system for emissions and even my 30 yr smog guy looked at them every time. What is the other ones? I can't remember... How pathetic is that right? Lol. Anyway, I need the 87 4 runner or 86 22re emissions and other sticker in a picture of good quality so that I can try and get someone... My other favor, who does decals to please make me one of each.

That is unless of course someone knows the Toyota still has them? I had trouble locating them last time

Thanks a lot dragon! I think I need to get one for the emissions routing that is pretty much perfect in order to get a good copy onto a sticker.

Got a bit more done on the "Zombie Apocalypse Roof Rack and Lights" Project...

Came other SUPER clean and I couldn't be happier! Can't wait to get my lights back up and working. Been missing having the rack as well.
